Confirmed: SUPERGIRL Will Move to The CW for Season 2
We recently reported that CBS was unsure of how to approach Supergirl, which concluded its first season last month. The network was interested in renewing it for season two, but the pricey budget wasn’t justified by the ratings. Then there were rumors of the show moving to The CW, a network co-owned by CBS. Warner Bros. has has a Booster Gold movie adaptation in development for a while. Recent rumors suggest that the film will be a team-up with Booster Gold and Blue Beetle, with DC TV mastermind Greg Berlanti attached to direct. While Blue Beetle’s involvement is still uncertain. With Upfronts 2016 coming soon, television networks are officially finalizing their 2016-2017 schedules. Some shows will be renewed, some will be canceled, and some new ones will be picked up. Kevin Smith Expresses Interest in Bringing Onomatopoeia to ARROW
Kevin Smith directed this week’s episode of The Flash, delivering one of the season’s best episodes so far. He is also set to direct an episode in the show’s third season later this year. Looks Like GREEN LANTERN CORPS Has Been Pushed Back a Month
So far, Warner Bros. has two DC movies scheduled for 2020, Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps. The former is expected to hit on April 3rd, while the latter’s date was June 19th. Now, it looks like we’ll have to wait an extra month to see the Emerald Knights return to the big screen. WB (via The Wrap) has pushed June 19th’s “Untitled DC Movie” (which is expected to be Green Lantern Corps) to July 24th, 2020. Gal Gadot Wraps Filming on WONDER WOMAN
Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment’s Wonder Woman began production back in November of last year, and now, it looks like it’s a wrap. For star Gal Gadot, at least. Gadot confirmed on social media that today is her final day shooting Wonder Woman. It’s unclear if the entire movie is done production, or if only Gadot is finished filming her scenes. Funko Unveils “Impopsters” Batman Figures and More DC Products
Funko has unveiled its latest DC Comics-themed Pop! figures, and this lineup has a very interesting twist. Dubbed “Impopsters,” these figures are of five Batman villains who are pretending to be the Caped Crusader. We even have a couple villainesses in disguise as Batgirl. The first two figures, Riddler and Poison Ivy, will hit stores in July. Two-Face and Harley Quinn (Batgirl) will follow in August.
