After months of speculation and rumors, CBS’ Supergirl and The CW’s The Flash will finally meet up in an epic crossover episode. The episode will air on CBS on March 28th. And now, the network (via TV Line) has released a promotional poster for the crossover, as well as a plot summary. In the episode, titled “Worlds Finest,” Flash finds himself in an alternate universe, where he meets Supergirl. Together, they fight two of Kara Zor-El’s enemies. James Wan is set to direct the Aquaman movie for Warner Bros., but before he landed the gig, several other directors were considered. Among these was Jeff Nichols, whose credits include Take Shelter and next week’s Midnight Special. Nichols’ potential involvement was actually leaked during the infamous “Sony Hack” ordeal in December 2014. As we now know, though, Nichols is not directing Aquaman. Why? A couple years ago, WGN America put a television adaptation of Scalped, a DC/Vertigo comic book series, into development. Now, the network has finally ordered a pilot for the potential series, according to TV Line. Banshee‘s Doug Jung will write the pilot for Scalped, as well as executive produce alongside DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns. With production set to begin on April 11th, casting is now underway for Justice League Part One, the long-awaited DC superhero ensemble. Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and more actors from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will reprise their roles, while Amber Heard is in talks to play Mera. Following Christian Bale’s legendary run as Batman in The Dark Knight Trilogy, Ben Affleck will assume the role in the DC Extended Universe, beginning with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While Bale’s time as Batman is finished, he still wants to see Batman v Superman…eventually. Speaking with Yahoo! Among the many toy lines produced for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are the Metals Die Cast figures, created by Jada Toys. These are short, metallic figurines that are rather cute. So far, Jada has produced figures for Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Armored Batman. Now, a second wave of figures in this line has been confirmed. Jada has unveiled four more Batman v Superman Metals Die Cast figures: Aquaman, Caped Wonder Woman, Unmasked Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Desert Batman (aka Knightmare Batman). For the past couple years, Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been attached to produce, direct and star in Warner Bros.’ Sandman adaptation. The movie, based on the iconic Neil Gaiman comic, has more recently moved over to New Line Cinema, along with other Vertigo adaptations. And just yesterday, we learned that a new screenwriter was tackling the script. Unfortunately, it looks like Gordon-Levitt won’t be bringing this story to the big screen after all.
