New BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Image Featuring Batman’s Desert Outfit
One of the more interesting scenes shown in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Comic-Con trailer, which released the other day, depicted Batman in the desert. There, he was fighting soldiers wearing the Superman emblem; these same soldiers were seen kneeling before Kal-El. Batman was wearing a slightly modified outfit, with goggles and a trench coat. Fans have wondered where this scene would fit into the overall film. Is it a dream sequence, perhaps? Regardless, we now have a closer look at this suit. Photographer Clay Enos has shared a new Dawn of Justice image, featuring a closeup look at Batman in his desert garb from the shoulders up. Fans…

CBS’ SUPERGIRL Will Feature Maxwell Lord, Livewire and Reactron
Among the many DC television shows present at Comic-Con last night was CBS’ Supergirl series. There were some new details on that show revealed at the panel, particularly concerning which villains we’ll be seeing this season (hopefully the first of many). First up, Twilight‘s Peter Facinelli has been cast as Maxwell Lord, who is a hero-turned-villain in the comics. Supergirl‘s version is described as “a green tech billionaire who enjoys a friendly rivalry with Cat Grant and a fascination with National City’s newest arrival — Supergirl.” Lord previously appeared in Smallville, making Supergirl his second live action adaptation. In fact, he was set to be the villain in the unproduced Justice League:…

Hawkman Will Appear in DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, the third series in The CW’s ongoing take on the DC Universe, held its Comic-Con panel last night. There were plenty of teases regarding the show, but the biggest news is that yet another major DC character will appear. It has been confirmed that Hawkman will debut in the series. It probably shouldn’t be that surprising, given the fact that Hawkman’s frequent love interest, Hawkgirl, is a member of the main cast. However, no casting for Hawkman was announced. Additionally, as expected, the first few episodes of both The Flash and Arrow next season will set up the events of Legends of Tomorrow. For example, Sara Lance will undergo…

First Look at Oliver’s New [Green] ARROW Costume; Anarky and Mister Terrific Coming to Season 4
After Oliver Queen retired as The Arrow in the Arrow season three finale, star Stephen Amell said that that persona is indeed dead, and he will no longer put on the costume. However, this would be a perfect lead-in to Ollie fully embracing the Green Arrow persona. And it looks like that will happen. During Arrow‘s Comic-Con panel last night, The CW unveiled a first look at Oliver’s new suit. It definitely looks much closer to the comic book look, signaling the character’s transition to Green Arrow. Amell even appeared on stage wearing this costume. At the panel, executive producer Greg Berlanti confirmed that this is the next stage in…

Looks Like the GREEN LANTERN Reboot Has an Official Title
At Comic-Con today, Warner Bros. debuted its DC segment with a sizzle reel teasing its film slate. The video contained concept art and logos for these movies, such as 2020’s Green Lantern reboot. Recently, it was rumored that the actor playing Lantern – Chris Pine? – would be announced at the panel today. While that didn’t happen, we have another interesting Green Lantern tidbit. A logo shown for the Green Lantern film has revealed its title: Green Lantern Corps. This seems to confirm prior rumors that the movie would be an ensemble piece that focuses on several different Lanterns, rather than one specific character. Now, we just have to wait…
