Megalyn Echikunwoke Set to Voice VIXEN in The CW Seed’s Animated Series
The CW’s digital spin-off, The CW Seed, is releasing a Vixen animated series this summer. Set in the world of Arrow and The Flash, the show is an origin tale for Mari McCabe, a fan-favorite character from DC Comics lore. The Arrow, Flash, Felicity Smoak and Cisco Ramon are all set to appear in Vixen, with their live action actors reprising their respective roles. And now, we know who is voicing the titular superheroine. TV Guide (via Vixen Varsity) has confirmed that CSI actress Megalyn Echikunwoke will star as Vixen in the animated series. Warner Bros. Announces BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE’s Presence at San Diego Comic-Con 2015
It was inevitable, but now it has been confirmed. Warner Bros. has announced that its San Diego Comic-Con 2015 panel will be headlined by Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Director Zack Snyder will be on stage, accompanied by Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and other members of the film’s ensemble cast. Mattel Offers First Look at BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Toy Lines
Another day, another merchandise reveal for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Today, Mattel has offered a first look at the various toys it is producing to tie into the highly anticipated film (via USA Today). These toys will be exclusively for sale at San Diego Comic-Con next week, presumably before they are available to the general public next year. First up, Mattel will release a $30 two-pack action figure set featuring both Superman and Batman. The two figures are six inches tall, and they are wearing fabric capes. LEGO Unveils First Look at BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Batmobile Set
It was previously confirmed that LEGO will be releasing sets based on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, as part of its 2016 DC Superheroes lineup. Now, we have a first look at one of these sets, which will be on display at San Diego Comic-Con next week. Via Wall Street Journal, LEGO has revealed a Batman v Superman set featuring the Batmobile. The set, which also features a Batman minifigure, will be on display at SDCC. Consumers can purchase it beginning January 1st, 2016. GOTHAM Casts Cannibalistic Villain for Season Two
With production on Gotham‘s second season underway, we have more casting news regarding a new villain for the show. According to Zap2it, Battle Creek actor Dustin Ybarra is set to play Robert Greenwood, an Arkham Asylum patient who is a cannibal. This will be a recurring role for the season. Greenwood, who appears to be an original creation for the show, is described as “a homicidal cannibal currently locked up in Arkham Asylum for the Criminally Insane after he was found guilty of murdering and eating more than a dozen women. … His appetite for murder is only surpassed by, well, his appetite.” This guy sounds like quite the charmer.
