During last night’s episode of The Flash, The CW premiered a minute-long promo for next week’s installment, which sees the highly anticipated crossover with Arrow. This episode, titled “Flash vs. Arrow,” sees Barry Allen and Oliver Queen come to blows when the latter visits Central City. This promo teases that battle, as well as The Arrow making himself at home in The Flash’s city and the two teaming up to take down the metahuman Ray Bivolo. A couple of years ago, director Guillermo del Toro confirmed his involvement with a film adaptation of DC’s Justice League Dark, which is tentatively titled Dark Universe. Last year, he revealed that he was writing the story outline for the movie, with another screenwriter (who is still unnamed) turning it into a full script. While DC Entertainment’s first two new television shows of the year, Gotham and The Flash, were both picked up for a full 20-something episode season, Constantine‘s debut season will not contain that many episodes. According to Deadline, despite improvement in ratings over the past couple weeks, NBC has halted production on the DC/Vertigo adaptation, with its first (and only?) season ending at episode thirteen. This year, Warner Bros. finally unveiled its plan to explore the DC Universe on film over the next few years. In addition to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and two Justice League films, there will be solo movies starring Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Shazam and Cyborg.
