Review: Wonder Woman 2011 TV Pilot
Our story begins with a family celebrating the oldest son’s acceptance to college. It ends, with said son, Willis, bleeding from his eyes and ears with the mom’s screams to call the hospital. The next scene leads into a chase, with a man of superhuman speed, Wonder Woman, and the police. The chase ends when Wonder Woman throws her lasso of truth.Wonder Woman takes a syringe of the man’s blood and leaves him to the police. Here’s the costume Wonder Woman is currently wearing, switching blue starred shorts for long blue pants. I am not a fan of switching the costume so drastically, even though most of it sticks to…

FEATURE: Five More Female DC Characters Who Should Get a Movie
So far, there have been very few female-led comic book movies, from both Marvel and DC. However, that’s about to change, as DC Films’ Wonder Woman is about to hit theaters. DC is also planning a Wonder Woman sequel, as well as films starring Batgirl and the Gotham City Sirens. At other studios, Marvel is producing Captain Marvel and an Ant-Man sequel co-starring Wasp, while Sony is developing a movie starring Spider-Man characters Black Cat and Silver Sable. But why stop there? There are so many female heroes and villains, especially in the DC Universe, who are more than capable of headlining a solo movie. Below, I’ve compiled a list of…

FEATURE: Five New Characters We Want to See in WONDER WOMAN 2
DC Films’ Wonder Woman is gathering strong early reactions from both fans and critics, while it is on track for a great opening weekend at the box office. Thus, it would make sense for Warner Bros. to put a sequel on the fast track. Director Patty Jenkins previously expressed interest in making a second Wonder Woman movie, specifically telling another standalone story. Wonder Woman introduces many iconic characters from Diana Prince’s cast of supporting characters, including Steve Trevor, Etta Candy, Ares, and all of the Amazons on Themyscira. Naturally, a sequel should continue that trend. There are many different heroes and villains from Wonder Woman’s 76-year history that can definitely pop…

SUPERGIRL’s Maggie Sawyer Will Have a Smaller Role in Season 3
[Warning: The Following Contains SPOILERS From the Supergirl Season 2 Finale.] Detective Maggie Sawyer was one of many new characters introduced on Supergirl this past season. She quickly draws close to Alex, and she winds up playing a key role in Alex coming out and exploring her sexuality. This resulted in one of the season’s strongest story arcs. In the season finale, Alex proposed to Maggie, who did not say yes or no, leaving us with a little cliffhanger for next season. Unfortunately, we’re gonna see less of Maggie next season. It has been announced (via TV Line) that actress Floriana Lima will return to Supergirl, but only in a…

Ranking the Arrowverse’s 10 Best Villains So Far
Over the span of five years, The CW’s Arrowverse (consisting of Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow on Earth-1, plus Supergirl on Earth-38) has introduced countless iconic villains from DC Comics lore. Several were little more than generic “villain of the week” characters, but many have been very memorable and, sometimes, just plain fun. This goes to both the big bads of each season and recurring foes. Below, I’ve compiled a list of my 10 favorite villains in the Arrowverse so far. [Warning: The Following Contains MAJOR SPOILERS From Recent Episodes of The Flash, Arrow, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.] #10 – Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) Darhk served as the…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 3×23 “Finish Line”
The Flash (3×23) – “Finish Line” Written by: Aaron & Todd Helbing Directed by: David McWhirter So here we are. The end of another season of the Flash and I won’t sugar coat it, this wasn’t exactly their best work. Then again, they had two really good seasons to follow so that shouldn’t come as a surprise. On the other hand, much like a great story being ruined by a crappy ending: A decent if underwhelming story can be saved by a great ending: Let’s see how they did. After we recap all the insanity of this season we pick where we left off last week. With Barry…

Review: WONDER WOMAN [2009]
Wonder Woman is one of many DC Animated films. This one focuses on the origin story for the queen of comics. We see Diana (Keri Russell) journey to Man’s World with the guidance of Steve Trevor (Nathan Fillion). The two need to stop Ares the God of War (Alfred Molina). It’s a story we’ve seen a thousand times. Girl wants to explore a new world, the overprotective parent says no, they go anyway and run into a man that joins them on their adventure. It’s basically every Disney movie. There’s a huge difference though. Wonder Woman takes these cliches and turns them on their head. It opens with one of…
