So… Now What? Five Ideas for a Wonder Woman Sequel
It’s here! With Wonder Woman released it’s time for one last speculation piece in Watchtower’s Seven Days of Wonder Woman before we all navel gaze and box office track and chances are as you’re reading this you might have already seen Wonder Woman. Which makes me a little envious of you since it’s Monday morning while I’m writing this and all I have to watch is youtube videos like this: (Actually… I like this video. Kumamon is the man.) Anyway, we’ve looked back for long enough! It’s time to look forward. Let’s ponder possibilities for a Wonder Woman Sequel and what better way to do that than by looking into…

WONDER WOMAN Now on Track for $95 Million+ Opening Weekend
DC Films’ Wonder Woman hit the box office tracking boards a couple weeks ago. At that time, the superhero movie – which hits theaters beginning tonight – was on track to gross $65-75 million in its domestic opening weekend. However, tracking is always subject to change closer to release, and many expected that Wonder Woman‘s would grow higher. And sure enough, it is. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wonder Woman is now tracking to open with $95 million or more in North America this weekend. It is also expected to open with over $100 million overseas, as it opens in most countries, including China. But if the tracking holds, Wonder…

Review: WONDER WOMAN [2017]
After the mixed reception to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the (mostly) negative reception to Suicide Squad, the DC Extended Universe needed a home run. A film that not only pleased fans but also got their biggest critics on board. You can’t possibly go into the first Justice League film with four “mediocre” films on your stat sheet, can you? Thankfully we don’t even have to think about that. Wonder Woman is here to stop the nerd apocalypse. The film focuses on Diana’s origin story, and what makes her the hero we see in Batman v Superman. We see Diana as a child [played by the adorable Lilly Aspell]. She…

STRANGER THINGS' Charlie Heaton in Talks to Join NEW MUTANTS Movie as Cannonball
Casting is well underway for 20th Century Fox’s next X-Men spin-off, New Mutants. The film, described by director Josh Boone as a “full-fledged horror movie,” is set to star Maisie Williams as Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor-Joy as Magik, and possibly Rosario Dawson as Dr. Cecelia Reyes. Additionally, Henry Zaga is rumored for the role of Sunspot. Now, another new mutant (heh) is about to be cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stranger Things alum Charlie Heaton is in talks to play Sam Guthrie, aka Cannonball, in New Mutants. Cannonball’s abilities allow him to propel himself into the air at jet speeds and become encased in an impenetrable force field. So, kind of…

SUPERGIRL Casts Odette Annable as Reign, the Big Bad of Season 3
At the end of the Supergirl season two finale, the main villain for season three was teased. The character, who was unnamed in the finale, was sent from Krypton as an infant at the same time Kara and Kal-El were. The last line of dialogue, “It will reign,” led to speculation that the character could be Reign, a recent villain in Supergirl comics. Now, it’s confirmed. It has been announced that Cloverfield actress Odette Annable will play Reign, the main villain of Supergirl‘s third season. In the comics, Reign “…was one of five ‘Worldkillers’ who were aliens that were captured and experimented on by Kryptonian scientists in an attempt to…

Ranking the Arrowverse, Season by Season
The CW’s Arrowverse began with the premiere of Arrow in 2012. Originally a grounded and realistic take on the Green Arrow mythos, the show expanded to incorporate fantastical elements from the DC Universe. The network created two spin-off shows, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Additionally, there’s Supergirl, which takes place on another Earth, but has still been included with crossovers. So far, Arrow has been going for five seasons, The Flash has had three, and both Legends and Supergirl have had two. All four shows are returning for new seasons next fall. Of course, not every season of every show is going to be on the same level…

WONDER WOMAN’s Best: A Look at the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman
WONDER WOMAN’s Best: A Look at the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman As Part of Watchtower of Babel’s Seven Days of Wonder Woman Celebration, it’s time to take a look at the Lynda Carter Wonder Woman series. The series was developed for Television by Stanley Ralph Ross (who also wrote for the Adam West Batman series and it shows) was produced by Love Boat Producer Douglas S Cramer (and it shows) and starred Lynda Carter (duh!) and Lyle Waggoner (playing both Steve Trevor and Later Steve Trevor Jr and we’ll get to that.) A lot of parenthetical asides already, I need to ratchet back before this becomes “Tangent: The Article.” Anyway,…

Review: INJUSTICE 2 – Every Battle Defines You
After NetherRealm’s hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us, we’ve waited four years for a follow-up game. Injustice takes us to the crappiest earth in the multiverse; the Justice League is broken and Superman rules the world. It was a fascinating look at DC’s Universe – what if Superman went bad? The gameplay was also excellent, making players feel as if they really were these super-powered beings. With that said, I was worried Injustice 2 wouldn’t live up to expectations. Adding new characters to the roster, killing fan favorites in the comic tie-ins, and adding a controversial gear system, it all made me really nervous. Well, I’m happy to say that not…
