With the premiere of Constantine on NBC just over three weeks away the network has launched a “First Look” on the official website: The series is centered on John Constantine, the character first appeared in Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing but later got a solo title. Hellblazer ran for three hundred issues from 1988 to 2013 and was beloved by readers. This week saw the release of the trailer for DC’s next animated film, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, and it revealed the presence of popular Aquaman antagonist Black Manta, who wasn’t in the original story arc. While we knew who would be voicing the rest of the main characters in the Justice League: War sequel, Black Manta’s voice actor was unknown. Now, however, we know who will be providing the character’s voice, and it’s somebody that Man of Steel fans would easily recognize. Warner Bros. Announces New York Comic-Con Plans For JUSTICE LEAGUE: THRONE OF ATLANTIS, LEGO BATMAN 3 And BATMAN: THE COMPLETE TELEVISION SERIES
Warner Bros. has announced its plans to bring a slew of DC related projects to New York Comic-Con next week. In addition to new television shows Gotham and Constantine, there will be panels for the Justice League: Throne of Atlantis animated feature, the LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham video game and the Blu-Ray release of Batman: The Complete Television Series. The panel for the former, which hits home video in early 2015, will feature Aquaman voice actor Matt Lanter and several crew members, and new footage will premiere. In addition to playing the Emerald Archer on The CW’s hit television series Arrow, actor Stephen Amell went on to voice Green Arrow for an Injustice: Gods Among Us skin based on the show. Since landing the role of Oliver Queen, Amell has been very open about his love and dedication to the character.
