Review: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (2018)
An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their super hero allies must willing to sacrifice it all in an attempt to defeat the power of Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe. 2018 marks the tenth anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which launched in 2008 with Iron Man. In the decade since, Marvel Studios has built up a universe consisting of nearly 20 movies, with (almost) every one being a big hit.…

Review: THE INFINTY GAUNTLET
Marvel’s Infinity Gauntlet is one of those events where you have no idea what’s going to happen next. The story goes from earth to space to face time face with God himself, and yet it never feels crazy or out of control. It’s gonna be tough breaking this one down but I’m up to the challenge. We have Thanos, the Mad Titan, a recurring villain of the Avengers gain control of the Infinity Gauntlet, the most powerful weapon in the universe. He wants to impress Death, like the physical embodiment of Death. He believes he can become her lover by inflicting as much death and destruction upon the universe. With…

Retrospective Review: AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
Avengers: Age of Ultron(2015) Directed By: Joss Whedon Produced By: Kevin Feige Written By: Joss Whedon Welcome again to our next installment of 20 Days of Infinity War! We’re here to talk about Avengers 1.5, I mean 2. Avengers: Age of Ultron! There are some spoilers below. Not many. But some! But seriously. Can we stop and talk about how this movie doesn’t feel like it needed to be a movie? Avengers: Age of Ultron doesn’t feel like a true movie, like it didn’t need to be as long, or have as many side notes. Almost could have been an Avengers 1.5, where Avengers 2 is Captain America: Civil War. We…

KRYPTON Midseason Review – Season 1
Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather – whose House of El was ostracized and shamed – as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Right now, we’re halfway through the ten-episode season of Krypton (hopefully the first of many). We’ve already reviewed the pilot episode, so for this review, we will focus on episodes 2-5. [Warning: We’ll Be Discussing SPOILERS From the First Half of Krypton Season 1.] In “House of El,” Seg initially disregards Adam Strange’s warning of an enemy from the future, instead plotting to kill Daron-Vex. After discovering…

Review: ULTIMATE AVENGERS
Hi all! Me again. First of all welcome back to our 20 Days of Infinity War series! Second of all, lemme just say watching this movie first instead of Ultimate Avengers II would have really helped my review of it I did here. Not by much, but a little! We begin at the end of World War II, where Captain America saves his men from the Ji’Tari Nazis, but ends up in the ocean, frozen. We go to the present, where Bruce Banner is studying the super soldier program, and Fury is searching the bottom of the ocean, looking for I assume, Captain America. He finds him, they defrost him,…

SUPERMAN: UNBOUND Review
Now we find Superman facing one of his most famous foes. An entity is known as Brainiac. The positive The story is decent, the characters (for the most part) works well in the story they try to tell. The art style of the movie looked like it could be a mix of western and Japanese (anime). A blend that in theory shouldn’t work, but works well here. While the animation was good in general, there are flaws. The best part of the movie is easily the voice acting. Especially Matt Bomer and John Noble. The former does the voice of Superman (while being Henry Cavill’s twin brother by the looks…

SUPERMAN VS. THE ELITE Review
Superman vs The Elite is, like my previous review, based on a previous comic book called What’s so funny about the truth justice & the American way, and just like my previous review, reading it is something I haven’t been able to do. So the review is going to approach it like it’s a movie on its own. In Superman vs The Elite, they cover the question of what true justice is. On the one hand, we have Superman, who believes that criminals should face punishment, but not to the point of death, while we have the rising group of Anti-Heroes called The Elite lead by Manchester Black who thinks…

Retrospective Review: Doctor Strange
Doctor Strange(2016) Directed By: Scott Derrickson Produced By: Kevin Feige Written By: Scott Derrickson, C.Robert Cargill, Jon Spaihts Hello again! I’m here to talk about Doctor Strange today as part of our 20 Days of Infinity War Series. Click here for more WOBAM awesome. I’d like to start off with two disclaimers. One, I’m a huge fan of Benedict Cumberbatch. I absolutely stole this review from John when we were given the schedule, but he knows why so THANKS JOHN. Two, I understand the casting of Tilda Swinton was controversial, but I won’t be addressing that matter. If you’ve read my reviews before, I’ve addressed the fact that I don’t have any background…

SUPERMAN: DOOMSDAY Review
Before I start off this review, I just want to clarify something. I’ve never been giving the chance to read Death of Superman, which the movie is supposedly based upon. So I’m going to approach this as a movie on its own and not how it stands as an adaptation. I tried to find some means to read it before I watched it, but with how iconic this comic is, I think you know why I was unable to. With that said, let’s get to the review. When LexCorp accidentally releasing a terrible monster named Doomsday, Superman is up against his most powerful foe yet. As I said in the…

Review: GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2
This review is part of our 20 Days of Infinity War. Click here to for more WOBAM awesome. – The sailor said “Brandy, you’re a fine girl (you’re a fine girl) What a good wife you would be (such a fine girl) Yeah your eyes could steal a sailor from the sea” The first Guardians of the Galaxy came out of Knowhere (Someday I will stop recycling that line, but that day isn’t today). Had you heard of the Guardians before the movie was announced? I sure hadn’t. I bet most movie goers hadn’t. But now here we are, on the cusp of their third theatrical outing in Avengers: Infinity War. Dang.…
