Teen Titans Go! has been a surprise hit for DC and Cartoon Network. The animated series, which has run for four seasons so far, is a slapstick spin-off of the original show. Following the success of 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service, 20th Century Fox quickly put a sequel into development. Subtitled The Golden Circle, the follow-up has now hit theaters. Despite mixed reviews from critics, the film has easily won the top spot at the box office this weekend. Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming has been one of the year’s biggest hits, successfully breathing life back into the franchise. The reboot recently got a big boost from its release in China. And now, it has passed yet another benchmark – a big one at that. At an estimated $874.4 million, Homecoming is now the highest grossing superhero movie of the year worldwide (via Box Office Mojo).
