AGENTS OF SHIELD Season 5 Has A Premiere Date
Rejoice, Agents of SHIELD fans! ABC has announced that the show will return to the air on December 1st at 8 PM EST for a special two-hour premiere. Starting December 8th, the show will move to its new regular time of Fridays at 9 PM EST. In a press release, Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment said, “We’re so proud of the way that ‘Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD’ has grown creatively every season. THOR: RAGNAROK Looks to Have a Huge Opening Weekend
We’re starting to get an idea of what Thor’s box office will look like. According to THR, Thor: Ragnarok is currently looking at a $90-$100 million dollar opening weekend in North America. If tracking is correct Ragnarok will pass both Thor ($65.7MM) and Thor: The Dark World ($85.7MM). Thor: Ragnarok looks to be a box office smash for Disney/Marvel. Warner Bros. Releasing TEEN TITANS GO! Movie Next Summer
Teen Titans Go! has been a surprise hit for DC and Cartoon Network. The animated series, which has run for four seasons so far, is a slapstick spin-off of the original show. Its style of humor and DC Universe references helped give the series a vocal fanbase. And now, the Titans are heading to the big screen. KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE Grosses an Estimated $39 Million in Opening Weekend
Following the success of 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service, 20th Century Fox quickly put a sequel into development. Subtitled The Golden Circle, the follow-up has now hit theaters. Despite mixed reviews from critics, the film has easily won the top spot at the box office this weekend. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Kingsman has opened with an estimated $39 million in North America. SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING is Now 2017's Highest Grossing Superhero Movie Worldwide
Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming has been one of the year’s biggest hits, successfully breathing life back into the franchise. The reboot recently got a big boost from its release in China. And now, it has passed yet another benchmark – a big one at that. At an estimated $874.4 million, Homecoming is now the highest grossing superhero movie of the year worldwide (via Box Office Mojo).
