Megalyn Echikunwoke Set to Voice VIXEN in The CW Seed’s Animated Series
The CW’s digital spin-off, The CW Seed, is releasing a Vixen animated series this summer. Set in the world of Arrow and The Flash, the show is an origin tale for Mari McCabe, a fan-favorite character from DC Comics lore. The Arrow, Flash, Felicity Smoak and Cisco Ramon are all set to appear in Vixen, with their live action actors reprising their respective roles. ARROW Alum Kevin Alejandro Joins Cast of LUCIFER
Lucifer will not be hitting the airwaves until 2016 but there was a casting shakeup today. According to Deadline, Flash alumni Nicholas Gonzalez has bowed out of the role of “Dan” and has been replaced by Arrow alumni, Kevin Alejandro. Alejandro is an experienced television actor who has appeared on well over a dozen hit series in the 2000s, including: Sons of Anarchy, Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, True Blood and 24. Most fans will know him for his stint as “Sebastian Blood aka Brother Blood” during season two of Arrow. Mattel Offers First Look at BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Toy Lines
Another day, another merchandise reveal for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Today, Mattel has offered a first look at the various toys it is producing to tie into the highly anticipated film (via USA Today). These toys will be exclusively for sale at San Diego Comic-Con next week, presumably before they are available to the general public next year. First up, Mattel will release a $30 two-pack action figure set featuring both Superman and Batman. The two figures are six inches tall, and they are wearing fabric capes.
