Acclaimed director Christopher Nolan and his brother, screenwriter Jonathan, both had a key hand in DC’s recent movie success. One of the most controversial and unexpected casting decisions in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was Jesse Eisenberg signing on to play Lex Luthor. While many agreed that the Oscar nominee is a fine actor, this choice seemed more bizarre than, say, Ben Affleck as Batman. In a story at the Hollywood Reporter Wednesday, some news about Suicide Squad came to light.  The story was about Margot Robbie working out a deal to play in The Taliban Shuffle alongside Tina Fey.  The story mentions that Robbie is still negotiating a role in Suicide Squad at the moment and that role could affect her schedule for 2015. Hot off the heels of a full season pick-up, Fox’s Gotham has added yet another key Batman character to its cast. According to Deadline, Firefly actress Morena Baccarin is set to play Dr. Leslie Thompkins, a recognizable supporting character in the Dark Knight mythos. Gotham marks her first live action appearance. Thompkins will be a recurring character this season, and will be upgraded to series regular for season two – if Gotham is renewed, of course.
