DCEU News: Details on The Elseworlds Banner, Their New Direction, and DC’s Continuity
DC Entertainment has kind of struggled with the launch of their Cinematic Universe. Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman were mixed at best, Suicide Squad was poorly received, and Wonder Woman was (thankfully) a mega-hit. Abraham Riesman of the Vulture spoke with the creative officer, Geoff Johns about some behind the scenes details. I’ve picked out the things I found most interesting, but for the full story click the link above. Geoff Johns and Man of Steel When Man of Steel, DC’s first film in their new cinematic universe came out, it was a completely different situation. One person close to Man of Steel said: “Geoff Johns and Diane Nelson [President of DC…

Geoff Johns Reaffirms The Optimistic Approach To DC Films
The DC Extended Universe was in a pretty rough spot. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad split audiences, and many were wondering if Warner Bros. should just try again with a reboot. Some said the movies are too dark, depressing, and an overall grim look on the DC world. Warner Brothers needed to look inward and see what needed to change. After the success of Wonder Woman, it seems they’ve done a complete turnaround. The Wrap spoke with DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns and their apparent rebirth. Johns’ said: “Get to the essence of the character and make the movies fun. Just make sure that the characters are…

The following editorial reflects in the views of the staff of Watchtower of Babel in total. We spoke on this and agreed to everything within. Okay! Sure it’s only been out in fourteen days and sure it had the biggest opening in March ever and yeah it’s already made more money in that time than Man of Steel’s entire theatrical run but guys… We all know it bombed. We just know. I mean, I saw it four times in theaters but that was just four times, if it was great I’d probably have seen it like eight or nine times…

FEATURE: 5 DC Characters That Deserve Their Own Video Games
With the news coming last week that WB Montreal is making (at least) two video games based on DC Comics properties, I feel now is the perfect opportunity list the top five DC characters I believe deserve their own video game franchise. To make things easier, I am going to give a brief rundown of the origin of each character, just so everyone understands my reasoning for listing these specific 5. Nightwing Origin: The Flying Grayson’s are apart of Haly’s Circus. The ringmaster was constantly harassed by a mobster named Tony Zucco. Who demanded the use of their truck to transport drugs. When the ringmaster refuses to give in to their threats, Zucco sabotaged the trapezes of…

TV Line has also learned that Bex Taylor-Klaus will reprise her role as Sin on Arrow…

SUPERGIRL Might Be Included In THE FLASH And ARROW Universe, Suggests Greg Berlanti
While most of DC Entertainment’s television shows are separate from each other – due to different networks, among other things – fans have speculated that CBS’ upcoming Supergirl series may be integrated into the world of Arrow and The Flash. All three shows are executive produced by Greg Berlanti, and CBS co-owns The CW, the network which airs Arrow and The Flash. So, a potential crossover isn’t logistically impossible. And now, Berlanti suggests that Supergirl could very well co-exist with the other DC shows he’s involved with. During a feature on Entertainment Weekly (via KSiteTV), Berlanti offered an update on Supergirl. EW’s profile confirmed that Colleen Atwood, who designed the…
