The LEGO Batman Movie was a hit when it came out last year, following up on the brick-tacular success of The LEGO Movie and expanding its cinematic universe. Now, it looks like a sequel is in development. Director Chris McKay confirmed on Twitter that they are now “working on” a second LEGO Batman Movie. Warner Bros. has released the second trailer for its next LEGO movie, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. The long-awaited sequel takes place five years after the first film, with Bricksburg now a post-apocalyptic wasteland. LEGO DC SUPER-VILLAINS Video Game Announced
It was previously reported that a LEGO video game starring DC villains is in the works. And now, it has been announced. TT Games and LEGO have formally announced their latest collaboration, LEGO DC Super-Villains. The open-world game puts the spotlight on the DC Universe’s greatest villains, from Joker and Lex Luthor to Reverse-Flash and Deathstroke. In this story, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth in the hands of the mysterious Justice Syndicate. Sony is moving forward with its Bloodshot adaptation, which kicks off the studio’s shared universe based on Valiant Comics. Vin Diesel is starring, with Dave Wilson attached to direct. Now, we have some more casting news. According to Variety, actors Eiza González, Michael Sheen, and Sam Heughan are in talks to join the cast of Bloodshot. Their potential characters are currently unknown. Bloodshot, the first of a five-movie plan, is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2019.
