Frances Conroy in Talks to Play JOKER’s Mother
Right after news about Robert De Niro being in negotiations to join Joker, The Wrap reports that Frances Conroy (who you might recognize from Sleepless in Seattle and American Horror Story) is in talks to play the mom of the title role that Joaquin Phoenix is playing. The Joker movie would not be the first time Miss Conroy would visit the world of DC Comics. She has lent her voices to projects like All-Star Superman and Superman Unbound. Robert De Niro in Talks to Join JOKER
Robert De Niro has been rumored to be involved in the upcoming Joker movie starring Joaquin Pheonix for a while, and now, it’s happening. Borys Kit from The Hollywood Reporter confirms that De Niro is in negotiations to join the film. If a deal closes, De Niro would play a talk show host who plays a role in Joker’s origin. This would serve as the legendary actor’s first comic book movie. The Joker movie is said to shoot in September this year, with a release date set for October 4th, 2019. Alita: Battle Angel is one of these properties that has been in “development” for years (maybe even a decade) when it comes to getting a live action treatment. New Information About DC Universe; SWAMP THING is in its Own Universe
If there is anything DC fans were waiting for outside of the MARVEL-ous trailers that they showed, it was information about the upcoming streaming service, DC Universe, courtesy of Cnet. If you have $8 per month, then DC Universe might be something for you since they will give you access to a ton of comics, animated movies or tv shows. But if you aren’t into that, don’t you worry. THE FLASH Confirms Cicada as the Big Bad for Season 5
A few months back, it was rumored that Cicada is going to be the main villain of The Flash‘s fifth season. Now, at San Diego Comic-Con, it’s official. The CW announced during the show’s SDCC panel that Cicada will be the next big Flash villain, played by actor Chris Klein. ARROW Casts The Longbow Hunters, Sets Returning Villains for Season 7
A lot of new season seven details are announced at Arrow‘s San Diego Comic-Con panel this year. In addition to the trailer, The CW confirmed that new and returning villains are coming to the show.
