DC Beefs Animated Slate to 4 Movies Next Year; Featuring BATMAN: HUSH, WONDER WOMAN and More
Last night, DC Entertainment held the world premiere of its latest animated movie, The Death of Superman, at San Diego Comic-Con. During the panel, DC announced the 2019 slate of original animated movies, but with a twist. While DC normally does three movies per year, 2019 will have four films. As previously announced, Reign of the Supermen will be released early next year. This film is the direct sequel to The Death of Superman, fulfilling the promise of a two-part adaptation of the iconic storyline. Later next spring, DC will release Justice League vs. The Fatal Five. STAR WARS: New Books and Comics Announced
The next round of Star Wars novels and comics will flesh out the prequel era! We’re getting a ginormous list from Del Rey, and I’m excited! I’ve got my highlighted publications from the panel below. Queen’s Shadow By: E.K. Johnston This book will follow Padme Amidala as she transitions from queen of Naboo to senator of Naboo. E.K. Johnston wrote Ahsoka, and she did a phenomenal job with that novel, so I’m excited to see what she can do with a different character. IRON FIST Season 2 Trailer and Synopsis Drop at San Diego Comic-Con; Alice Eve’s Character Revealed
During its San Diego Comic-Con panel tonight, Marvel dropped the first teaser for its next Netflix collaboration, Iron Fist season two. A lot of new footage was shown, but this was all that was released online. The trailer features Danny Rand beating down street criminals, and it already looks like a big improvement on the first season. Check it out below. STARGIRL Series Coming to DC Universe
We have news of a fourth live action show coming to the DC Universe streaming service! Stargirl will be the show, with Sarah Scheer, Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns to produce. Berlanti and Johns will write the scripts up for the show, with it having 13 episodes in total. The show will air at some point in 2019, and will focus on high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires a group of young heroes to stop villains from the past. SDCC is not just a gold mine for fans of DC Comics and Marvel Comics, but also Dragon Ball fans. At San Diego Comic-Con, we were presented with a new glorious trailer for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly. We have yet another look Spider-Man PS4. This trailer is much more story based than previous trailers. We get to see how Norman Osborne, Miles Morales, and Mary Jane Watson factor into the story. STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS is Returning
Are you ready for it? Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be returning to close out its arc! After unceremoniously being canceled in 2013, Clone Wars put a sixth unaired, “unfinished” season on Netflix. Dave Filoni revealed today in an SDCC panel sneakily titled as a way to honor the show’s tenth anniversary, that the show would be returning on Disney Direct, Disney’s upcoming streaming service. According to the show’s writer(Brett Freidman) back in 2014, scripts had been finished for the show through an eighth season. At this time, it is unknown if those scripts will in fact be used, and for how many seasons the show will air.…

AQUAMAN Artwork Reveals Full Look at Ocean Master and Black Manta’s Costumes
The Aquaman hype train rolls on, as we wait for the film’s San Diego Comic-Con panel this Saturday. Today, Den of Geek has premiered its SDCC exclusive magazine, featuring breathtaking artwork based on the movie. The artwork features the film’s main cast, along with other characters and locations.
