Crunchyroll and Funimation Part Ways
Crunchyroll and Funimation, two of the biggest anime distributors, are now ending their collaboration that started back in September 2016. The reason for it? Sony Picture Television Network wants Funimation to spread its wings and become more global. Outside of the fact that they will stop sharing content after November 9th, but Funimation will also not be available after that expiration date. If you are worried about losing shows like Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia on your Crunchyroll account, I’m happy to say that you don’t have to worry. According to reports, shows that premiered during the partnership are staying around even after November 9th. Animenewsnetwork has an…

Review: DAREDEVIL (2003)
You can’t talk about Daredevil without having someone reviewing the movie (even if you wanted to talk about the TV show only). So, let’s get started… In a time before Affleck became the target of memes and asked if someone bleeds, we could all see him in 2003’s Daredevil, where he plays the blind lawyer Matt Murdock, who is out for revenge against the mighty Kingpin. The movie adaptation is quite fascinating. You have the leads doing the best with what they have. Besides that, you have the two actors playing the lead villains hamming it up to eleven (I’m seriously wondering if Colin Farell and Michael Clarke Duncan either…

MORBIUS THE LIVING VAMPIRE: Talks of Rating, and Rumored Villain
Morbius the Living Vampire is the next movie that will arrive from Sony’s own cinematic universe with 30 seconds from Mars lead singer Jared Leto playing the title character. If a report from ThatHashtagshow is correct, we now know who the antagonist is. According to them, the villain will be the character Crown (or Hunger as he also goes by). The character will, however, go by the name of Loxias Crown in the movie (no this is not a name that he has in the comics) Crown’s first comic book appearance was in Spiderman #73 released in 1997 and have been a foe for both Morbius and the web-slinger himself.…

RETROSPECTIVE REVIEW: DAREDEVIL Season 2
Daredevil Season 3 is only one day away, and your favorite Swedish geek is as hyped towards it as you are. Daredevil is my favorite of the Netflix Marvel shows, even though I still laugh that Matt Murdock is played by the same actor who plays the lead in Mathew Vaughn’s Stardust. This season is arguably the better one, compared to the first. The pace feels a lot smoother, and no arc gets the feeling of not having a closure or being unnecessary. You don’t sit there, find it dragging, and ask why Daredevil is returning when Murdock and Foggy are in a courtroom drama. Every part works for the story…

James Gunn Shifting to DC, Will Write (and Possibly Direct) SUICIDE SQUAD 2
Taking all controversy aside for a second, this is something that I find highly ironic, even though there is nothing weird about a director and writer going from one ship to the next (normally). According to reports, James Gunn, the writer and director of Marvel’s two Guardians of the Galaxy movies, is now set to write DC’s Suicide Squad 2, with an eye to direct. Which is quite ironic considering Warner Bros. wanted the original Suicide Squad to be its answer to Guardians of the Galaxy. On what’s happened to Gavin O’Connor, the previous director? Well, it looks like it was creative differences that made him fall back, according to…

Rosie Perez Cast as Renee Montoya in BIRDS OF PREY
The Wrap has wrapped up another juicy scoop. The wings have flown towards us and preyed upon some more news about casting for the upcoming Birds of Prey movie. Rosie Perez has been cast to play the role of Renee Montoya, who was first created to appear in Batman: The Animated Series, just like future co-star Harley Quinn. Her first comic book appearance was in Batman #475 in 1992 and has also taken the mantle of The Question, which she first had back in the comic 52 #42 back in 2007. She is a cop that fights against corruption and is a frequent ally to the Caped Crusader. What do…

Venom Producer Talks MORBIUS Movie
No matter what your thoughts are about Tom Hardy’s split persona with a massive tongue, it certainly looks the Sony Universe is not hitting the breaks. According to Venom producers Matt Tolmach and the infamous Avi Arad, they say in an interview that Morbius the living vampire is the next project they are putting on the conveyor belt. They also mention that the fans of the living vampire can expect a solid job from the singer turned actor, Jared Leto. Tolmach said: We’re obviously working on Morbius now. That’s sort of next up for us. When asked about Leto’s commitment to the role and if it’s similar to his performance as the Joker,…

Rumor: Potential DARK AVENGERS Movie Coming in Phase 4?
After 10 years of doing superhero movies, I guess it is just a matter of time before Marvel started focusing on their villains. According to The Hashtag Show, Marvel has finished a script for their IP called Dark Avengers. Created by Brian Michael Bendis, and first introduced in Dark Avengers #1 in 2009. The Dark Avengers is a group of “heroes” lead by none other than Norman Osborn. Norman has gathered together a group of villains that is ordered to pretend to be the Avengers. Granted, Marvel writes scripts for movies all the time, so who knows if this will be one that they will use or not, would the report…

We Have Our First Look At Amazon’s THE BOYS
Are you a fan of comic books but have lost track of every adaptation that has been announced or is on its way? If so, then I have some good news for you. The trailer for the Amazon produced TV adaptation of The Boys just released its the first trailer. In this world, Superheroes has become corrupted due to their celebrity status. Because of this, the US government have put a group of super-powered humans called The Boys to keep these “heroes” in check. While the trailer didn’t show much, I think it made a good job presenting the atmosphere and tone. The show starts actors like Karl Urban (Lord of the…

Three Destinies Collide in new DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY Trailer
The second trailer to the highly anticipated Dragon Ball Super: Broly has been released. The movie looks like it will be quite dark, with it touching on the origin of the Saiyans. I would even say “insert Superman joke here” when it comes to a specific scene in the trailer. Although, the similarities with Superman is already existing. I’m unsure of which of the two trailers are my favorite. Maybe this one considering how personal and focusing on the story it was in comparison. Dragon Ball Super: Broly is hitting theaters for Japan in December this year while getting a US release in January. If you live outside of the states…
