ATTACK ON TITAN 2 Video Game Review
In Attack on Titans 2, you play through season one and two of the anime. However, instead of playing as any of the pre-existing characters you play as a self-created Avatar. Using an Avatar in a game that wants to re-tell an already told story is always a red flag for me, and this game was no exception. Granted, I get the appeal of being able to be “you”, interacting with your favorite character no matter the franchise. The outcome can only end up in two ways. A) The game is treating your Avatar as a side character, interacting with the other characters. While you get praise and accomplish things,…

DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY Trailer Released
SDCC is not just a gold mine for fans of DC Comics and Marvel Comics, but also Dragon Ball fans. At San Diego Comic-Con, we were presented with a new glorious trailer for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly. While it might show in some places that the movie is five to six months away (depending on where you live) it was glorious to behold if you are a Dragon Ball fan. I’m personally quite hyped after watching this trailer, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Akira Toriyama has done with this berserker fan favorite Dragon Ball Super: Broly is released in Japan 12.14.18 and is expected to hit North…

Review: ATTACK ON TITAN Live Action (Part 2)
The second movie takes off where the first one left off. What more can I really say as a synopsis? You know the saying “it might get better from here”? I wished this statement would fit when it came to these live-action adaptations, but sadly they don’t. If anything it is only making it worse. The only benefits that this second part has over its predecessors is that it tries to world build. But going one step forward is not an overall improvement when you at the same time walk steps backward. I don’t know how they pulled it off, but the movie looks uglier than the previous attempt (and…

Review: ATTACK ON TITAN Live Action (Part One)
If your franchise gets popular enough, a live-action treatment is bound to happen. This movie is the first part of a live-action adaptation of the titan-sized franchise that I have posted about for the last four days. The synopsis goes like season one of the anime; we follow the likes of Eren Jaeger and his friend’s training so that they can be apart of the army that fights against the Titans, humanoid monsters who feeds on people like they were strawberries on a bush. I was first thinking of doing a video review for this movie. If I did that, you would have me sit there in chock, and an…

Review: Attack on Titan Junior High
Attack on Titan; a dark, gritty franchise, filled with death and despair. With the franchise being so popular, it’s a no brainer it should get a spin off right? What about a comedy spin-off? Cause that’s what we’re going to talk about, the Attack on Titan comedy spin-off, Attack on Titan Junior High. Yes, you read that right. Attack on Titan Junior High is a comedy (a slice of life comedy to be exact). Putting the name Attack on Titan and the word comedy next to each other feels like I’m eating a broccoli soup where the main ingredient is supposed to be an oreo dipped in chocolate cream. In…

Review: ATTACK ON TITAN Season 2
Season two starts off where the last season ended. Eren Jaeger and his friends are still at war with the humanoid eating Titans. It doesn’t get any easier as more mysteries and enemies are discovered along the way With season one’s massive popularity, you would think that season two would have been right around the corner. But unfortunately, we all had to wait four years before we could continue the animated adventures of Eren Jaeger and his friends. The second season starts off with a short recap of the first season before picking back up where it left off and going full. Just like before, this season is truly a…

Review: ATTACK ON TITAN Season 1
The Attack on Titan is a series that ended up as a monster of a franchise back in 2013. Because of this, I thought it could be fun to have a week of posts counting down the release of the third season which is releasing seven days from now. Starting this series off, I feel like I should start with what gave the series the popularity it has today. In season one, we follow the likes of Eren Jaeger and his friend’s training so that they can be apart of the army that fights against the Titans, humanoid monsters who feeds on people like they were strawberries on a bush.…

Poster, Villain Revealed for DRAGON BALL SUPER Movie
Close to the end of Dragon Ball Super, knowledge of a new animated movie was released. Then in March, they released a short teaser, revealing that Son Goku will fight a new Saiyan threat without revealing WHO it was. Flash forward to today, and we now know the answer. Toei Animation revealed the villain that is appearing is none other than the famous Broly. Broly is a fan favorite character made for a movie back in 1993. Since then, this character has appeared in three other movies, games and a spin-off manga which are all considered to be non-canon. This upcoming movie is said to be a canon sequel to…

EDENS ZERO Chapter 2 Review
Edens Zero Chapter two kicks off where the last chapter left off. Shiki, Rebeca, and Happy are off to space to their new destination. Issues arise when someone kidnaps Happy, with Shiki and Rebecca doing their best to save him. Even though Edens Zero continues to have some Fairytail feel, this chapter gave me vibes of Dragon Ball. For starters, the aesthetic of that city screamed early Dragon Ball. But the Dragon Ball vibes did not stop there. The villains (especially the big bad) was straight out of Dragon Ball as well (The Red Ribbon era to be exact). Which is quite funny after the whole “is that a love…

Pilot Episode Review: DRAGON BALL HEROES
Time for another pilot review. This time it’s about the awaited Dragon Ball Heroes. The episode starts with Son Goku and Vegeta training as always. When their training gets interrupted by Mai, who brings the news of Trunks is captured. Faster then someone says anime, Goku, and Vegeta fly away to save him. Dragon Ball Heroes is a spin-off series that has arrived after the success of Dragon Ball Super. The reason for “spinoff” is because it’s not meant to be “canon” for the Dragon Ball lore. It exists to make a commercial for the card game by the same name (and that’s the problem). Yes, a show that purely…
