How THE LAST AIRBENDER Ruined My Childhood
Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the greatest animated series ever made. Created by Michael Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko, ATLA follows the story of Aang and his friends as they go on a journey to end a 100-year war and bring peace to the world. The series takes a lot of inspiration from different eastern cultures as well as western media (Star Wars specifically). It was truly lightning in a bottle. The success of the series lead to a live-action adaptation, and that was, well… Let’s talk about M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender. There are very few films that I hate. I try to see the best in everything,…

New Details on the Voice Cast of BATMAN: HUSH
Batman: Hush is one of our most anticipated films in the coming year. We haven’t heard much about the project aside from its release date. That is until now. Our friends at Revenge of the Fans dropped some major casting news. While the actors have not been attached to specific roles, we do have their names. First we have Jason O’Mara, who has played Batman numerous times. It’s a safe bet that he will be playing The Dark Knight. Next is Jerry O’Connell, who has played Superman in the latest version of the DC Animated Universe. He’s a lock for Kal-El. Things start to get interesting with the rest of…

Review: YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS Episodes 4-6
We will be reviewing the episodes of Private Security, Away Mission, and Rescue Op. This is your spoiler warning. After a very bleak premiere, Young Justice decided to get back to its more humorous side. Episode four could be considered a filler episode. It focuses on Dick tracking down stolen VR headsets with the help of Bow Hunter Security. The team consists of Roy Harper. All of the Roy Harpers. This episode is pure cheese, and I love every second of it. They have to stop Brick and his thugs, and it is a fun ride. Dick is avoiding his responsibilities. He creates a team for this rescue mission in the…

Review: YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS Premiere
Picking up a mere two years after Young Justice: Invasion, Outsiders, focuses on metahuman trafficking. The team needs to stop Count Vertigo from kidnapping children and turning them into monsters. Can Nightwing and company stop him? This review will be covering the events from these episodes: Princes All, Royal We, and Eminent Threat. If you haven’t seen all of these episodes, bookmark this review and come back when you’re finished. Just like in season two the time jump leaves us in a different place. Nightwing is off doing solo missions, Miss Martian and Superboy lead the Team, and Kaldur has gone from Aqualad to Aquaman, leader of the Justice League. We…

Comic Review: YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS – Torch Songs
Set shortly after the season 2 finale, Torch Songs showcases a battle between Psimon, Miss Martian, Superboy, Beast Boy, and Batgirl. Can they win a fight against the telepath? Or will they be stuck inside of Miss Martian’s head forever? We pick up in year six of the series. Not too much has changed, but Batgirl has taken on some of Nightwing’s responsibilities. Psimon has moved into the United States, our team’s mission is to take him down. Psimon is too smart for the team to find him so easily. It’s a trap to get revenge on M’gann. Knowing this, the team still continues on. They split up and Batgirl…

5 Characters We Need in Young Justice: Outsiders
Young Justice has a huge cast of characters, but one of the best parts of the series is how they have different teams working together. Enough though we’ve had dozens of young heroes in the past, there are still a few more that we would love to see. Here are the five characters we want to see in Young Justice: Outsiders! 5. Damian Wayne (Robin) The first season of Young Justice starts with Dick Grayson, the first Robin. Jason Todd dies in between season one and two, and Tim Drake is Robin is season two. It would make perfect sense for the third season to feature the third Robin. Damian Wayne…

Review: AQUAMAN Vol 1: The Trench (The New 52)
The New 52 was a bit of a mixed bag for DC Comics. This was a time where DC’s history and the universe got too bloated. This happens every decade or so in the comics industry. You keep telling stories of Batman in his prime over the course of 20 years things start to get lost and it’s hard for new readers to jump in. When this happens, DC would typically do a soft reboot. Some event or crisis that would help streamline things. Enter The New 52, a complete reboot of the DC universe. Again, the New 52 was a mixed bag. Some characters suffered from the change (Superman)…
