With Superman having a big focus in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the two-part Justice League, Warner Bros. is apparently in no hurry to put out a standalone sequel to Man of Steel. A second Superman solo film was confirmed to be released by 2020, but we haven’t received any solid news on it since. Now, director Zack Snyder and star Henry Cavill weigh in. Speaking with IGN (transcription via ComicBook), Snyder says he would definitely be interested in returning to the solo world of Superman. “I think if we could get a good script it’d be great to have a standalone Superman movie. Looks like we’re getting at least one more mini The Flash/Arrow crossover this season. At a recent press screening (via Entertainment Weekly), Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirms that Katie Cassidy’s Laurel Lance will guest star on The Flash later this season. But this won’t be the Laurel we know, as Guggenheim reveals, “You will see her on an episode of The Flash playing the Earth-2 version of Laurel Lance.” On Earth-2, Laurel Lance becomes the Black Siren instead of the Black Canary. In the Justice League animated series, Black Siren is a member of the Justice Guild, a superhero team in an alternate reality. The group is a homage to the…

FEATURE: Seven Ways JUSTICE LEAGUE Can Improve Upon BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is now in theaters, and the film successfully paved the way for the long-awaited Justice League movie, as well as the greater DC Extended Universe. However, Batman v Superman isn’t perfect. While I enjoyed the movie and believe that the critics have been far too harsh, I can’t deny that it has some serious issues as a film. But these flaws can easily be fixed in future installments. It already looks like 2017’s Justice League will be at least somewhat of an improvement. The tone will be lighter than Batman v Superman, which should make it more accessible to the general audience. Also, the script…
