Animated DEADPOOL Show Ordered To Series At FXX
Donald Glover (Atlanta, Spider-Man: Homecoming) and FX (Legion) are teaming up with Marvel to bring an animated Deadpool series to FXX. According to THR, the series will be 10 episodes long, it will be an adult cartoon (think Archer), and will launch in 2018. Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory will be joining Donald and his brother Stephen Glover as executive producers. WONDER WOMAN Soundtrack Details Announced
We’re only a few short weeks away from the release of DC Films’ Wonder Woman, and the marketing campaign is in full throttle. This week, details on the movie’s soundtrack have been confirmed. Wonder Woman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack hits stores on June 2nd – the same day as the movie – and you can currently pre-order it on Amazon. Fox Orders X-Men Pilot THE GIFTED to Series; First Footage Released
Recently, Fox has been collaborating with Marvel Television to bring the X-Men franchise to the small screen. The critically acclaimed Legion wrapped up its first season a few weeks ago on FX, and a second season is coming soon. Now, the next show has been confirmed. Today (via TV Line), Fox has formally given a series order to The Gifted. Last year, Warner Bros. hired Doug Liman to direct DC Films’ Justice League Dark, which unites several magic-based characters from the DC Universe. First SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Clip Released
During the MTV Movie Awards tonight, Marvel and Sony premiered the first clip from this summer’s highly anticipated blockbuster Spider-Man: Homecoming. The clip consists of a scene that we’ve seen glimpses of in both trailers: Peter sneaks into his room wearing the Spider-Man suit, his friend Ned sees him, and boom, secret’s out. Epic Final Trailer for WONDER WOMAN Released
At the MTV Movie Awards tonight, star Gal Gadot promoted the highly anticipated Wonder Woman movie. During the ceremony, Warner Bros. dropped the fourth and final trailer for the film. And boy, is this a good one. Titled “Rise of the Warrior,” the trailer is chock full of new footage. We see some incredible new action, some more funny bits, and a little more of Themiscyra. After opening last week in the UK and other countries, Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has arrived in North America. The highly anticipated sequel has been generating positive reviews from critics, as well as an “A” CinemaScore from audiences. Now, we have the estimated results from its domestic opening weekend. Via The Hollywood Reporter, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has opened with an estimated $145 million domestically. That’s much higher than the original film’s $94.3 million debut. We’re now less than a month until the release of DC Films’ Wonder Woman, and the marketing campaign is full speed ahead. Following a slew of TV spots, magazine covers and more, a new “sneak peek” – likely the final trailer – premieres tonight at the MTV Movie Awards. While we wait for that, the film’s runtime has been confirmed. According to the Consumer Protection BC classification, Wonder Woman‘s official runtime is a whopping 141 minutes, or 2 hours and 21 minutes. Guy Ritchie Would’ve Liked to Direct SUICIDE SQUAD 2
After the success of Suicide Squad last year, Warner Bros. put a sequel into development. The Legend of Tarzan scribe Adam Cozad is working on the script, while the studio is talking to directors, including Mel Gibson. Now, one filmmaker has expressed interest in tackling the franchise, even though it probably won’t happen. Director Guy Ritchie recently appeared on Variety‘s Playback podcast to talk about his new film, WB’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
