The CW Considering A Third DC Comics Television Show; Liam Neeson Was Approached To Reprise Ra’s al Ghul Role On ARROW
This has been a good week for The CW. Fan-favorite DC series Arrow made its triumphant return, while spin-off show The Flash premiered the night before. Both shows continue to expand The CW’s take on the DC Universe, and naturally, there would be talk of other potential spin-offs. CW President Mark Pedowitz confirmed to Buzzfeed that the network, along with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, is considering a third television series starring a DC character. “There are discussions going on, but I can’t tell you what they are.” Of course, there are a number of options to consider. In addition to the multiple Ferris Air Easter eggs, the Arrow crew has…

FLASH: Pilot Summary
The Flash (1×01) – “Pilot/City of Heroes” Written by: Greg Berlanti, Gardner Fox, Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and Harry Lampert Directed by: David Nutter The episode opens on Central City while a voice over from Barry Allen (Series star, Grant Gustin,) introducing the series. This monologue (likely an early version of the pre-cap monologues that the CW Network is fond of) declares Barry “The Fastest Man Alive” before he asks the view to believe in the possible. The story then goes back in time fourteen years, as a boy wearing a red backpack runs away from bullies. The boy is quickly revealed to be Barry; he had attempted to stop…

Review: THE FLASH S1E1 “City of Heroes” (2014)
From the Arrow creative team of executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg and director David Nutter, THE FLASH is a fast-paced super hero drama that follows the high-speed adventures of the Fastest Man Alive. Written by Berlanti, Kreisberg and DC Entertainment’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, the action drama follows Central City Police scientist Barry Allen, an everyday guy with the heart of a hero and the genuine desire to help others. Standing still emotionally since the day his mother was murdered (and his father unjustly jailed for the crime), Barry was taken in as a child by the investigating Detective West and raised in a cop’s home alongside…

GOTHAM: S1E3 “BALLOONMAN” Review
MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD. For the record I enjoyed last night’s episode of Gotham. I found it entertaining and for the most part the performances were up to par and the quality didn’t drop too much from last weeks episode. The story was entertaining and I found the dark humor peppered throughout very well executed, but regardless I do feel that ‘Balloonman’ did highlight a few of the flaws that unfortunately prevent the series from reaching it’s full potential. I’ll start with the…

THE FLASH Producers Talk Characters And The ARROW Crossover; Will Booster Gold Join The Show?
A number of news outlets, including MTV, spoke with actors and producers of The Flash in anticipation of the series’ premiere this week. A number of topics, such as the introduction of metahumans and Barry Allen’s three father figures, are discussed. While most of the Scarlet Speedster’s villains will be affected by the STAR Labs accident, one key antagonist will not be. Captain Cold/Leonard Snart, however, will still play a key role in the series. “He kind of just is this guy who pulls jobs very carefully, and suddenly there’s something else in the city and he has to change his game up,” says writer and executive producer Geoff Johns. “He…

Ben Affleck Praises BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Director Zack Snyder And Visual Effects
Ben Afleck’s most recent movie, Gone Girl, opens in theaters this weekend, and the acclaimed actor-director has been promoting the David Fincher-helmed film for a few weeks. Unsurprisingly, he is often asked about his much-hyped about role as the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And even less surprisingly, Affleck has refused to discuss any details regarding the DC team-up epic. However, he has now opened up a little bit in his latest interview. Speaking with Inquirer, Affleck jokes about his “stern Batman look” that he donned during his appearance at the Batman v Superman panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. He then reiterates his praise…

Speaking with Collider while promoting the hit CW series, writer and executive producer Marc Guggenheim discusses what to expect from this season of Arrow. When asked if new character Ray Palmer – played by former Superman Brandon Routh – will adopt the persona of The Atom, Guggenheim admitted that it was a possibility, but don’t expect it to play out on Arrow. “I think anything is possible. My instinct is that, if Ray Palmer is going to shrink, he’ll probably shrink on another show. With…
