After some time in development hell, Fox’s Gambit movie is finally moving forward. Channing Tatum is attached to star as Remy LeBeau, with Gore Verbinski set to direct. Now, pre-production is well underway, and casting for additional characters is in the works. According to Variety, actress Lizzy Caplan is in talks to join Gambit as the female lead. Ever since her creation in 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series, Harley Quinn has quickly become one of DC Comics’ most popular characters. She is prominently featured in the New 52 and Rebirth comics, while she got her big break with last year’s Suicide Squad movie, where she’s played by Margot Robbie. Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok is the latest in the studio’s long line of critically acclaimed box office hits. The sequel successfully revived the Thor franchise, bringing the God of Thunder to new heights. That continues this weekend, where the film passes a key milestone. Per Box Office Mojo, Ragnarok has now surpassed the $700 million mark at the worldwide box office. The film is now at $247.4 million in North America and $490.7 million overseas. DC Films’ Justice League has had many struggles in its launch, from lukewarm reviews by critics to extensive behind-the-scenes issues.
