LEGO JUSTICE LEAGUE: ATTACK OF THE LEGION OF DOOM Animated Movie Announced
After the success of 2013’s Lego Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite and this year’s Lego DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs. Bizarro League, a third animated direct-to-DVD movie based on the DC Superheroes LEGO line has been announced. Titled LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes – Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom, this installment will be released on August 25th, and it will be available on DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital Download. Brad Peyton Expresses Interest in Directing a SUPERMAN Film; Carla Gugino Up for Another DC Movie Role
San Andreas director Brad Peyton was previously attached to helm a Lobo movie for Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, but the project was shelved. However, he is still interested in tackling a DC film. Speaking with Digital Spy, the director reveals that he would love to take on a Superman movie. While he admits that Batman is “super cool,” Peyton admits that if he had his choice of DC characters, he would direct Superman, explaining his love of the iconic Clark Kent/Lois Lane dynamic. 1999 saw the beginning of the fan-favorite comic book called The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which was written by Alan Moore. The series, which teamed up various Victorian England icons in an Avengers or Justice League-esque assembly, spawned three miniseries and two graphic novels. Two of these limited series and a graphic novel were published by America’s Best Comics, an imprint created by Moore that fell under the DC Comics/Wildstorm umbrella.
