FEATURE: The Case for a PG-13 Deadpool
The Deadpool franchise has been a considerable success for 20th Century Fox, succeeding as an R rated franchise where many comic book projects failed. This is largely in part to Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds’ vision for the character, lifting the lovable Merc with a Mouth from Rob Liefeld’s pages and letting him run free in a Fourth Wall-shattering silver screen sandbox. The first film’s $783 million worldwide gross is nothing to turn your nose at: this character connected with a LOT of people. BUT. But. Hear me out, friends: what if Deadpool was a PG-13 franchise? Would that be so bad? Would it hamper the filmmakers’ ability to tell…

FEATURE: Five Storylines to Consider for DEADPOOL 3
Deadpool is already one of the biggest superhero franchises in recent memory, with the 2016 movie being a big hit and this summer’s sequel looking to be even bigger. While Deadpool will appear in X-Force, star Ryan Reynolds has sounded less optimistic about a third solo film, But if Deadpool 2 makes all the money (it will), then surely Fox will pursue another movie. If Deadpool 3 does happen, here are some storylines we’d love to see considered… Deadpool Corps In the comics, the Deadpool Corps is a group of Deadpools from various alternate realities. The team is brought together by the Contemplator, who tasks the group with defeating the cosmic entity known as the Awerness.…

FEATURE: A Hawkgirl Fancast for the DC Cinematic Universe
DC’s Hawkgirl has always been an iconic character for me, from seeing her as one of the starting seven in the animated Justice League TV show, to her iteration on The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow. I really would love to see Shayera Hol come to the big screen, either in her own solo movie, or perhaps in a future Justice League movie. I think she could bring an interesting dynamic to the team, especially with Wonder Woman as the current leader (in my opinion) of the team. Below I’ve got five actresses who I think could portray Shayera on the big screen. 5. Karen Gillian Karen is the safe choice…

FEATURE: Five Ideas for the AVENGERS 4 Title
Marvel Studios originally announced the third and fourth Avengers movies as Parts 1 and 2 of Infinity War. However, in order to sell them as different movies, the titles were changed. The first one is just Infinity War now, and the other one remains untitled…at least to the public. Marvel has been adamant about not revealing the Avengers 4 title publicly just yet, likely to keep the focus on Infinity War. With that movie out now, who knows how long it’ll be until they announce it. There has been a ton of speculation as to what the title will be, and here, we list five ideas that would be cool….…

Feature: Let’s Rank Marvel Phase One
Hello there. Your favorite Swed is back again with another post. However, instead of reviewing a Superman movie, (which my three previous one been.) I’m going to give you a top list of Marvel’s Phase One. Before you think about doing a rage comment or two down below, let’s remember that this is just one person’s preference. If you feel different, comment below and let me know. I would love to hear it. With that said, let’s get going. 6. Iron Man 2. When I started working on this list, this was not the movie that I thought would be in the downright bottom. However, the more I thought about…

Welcome to the final installment of our Legacy of the Superman series. In this installment, we will explore what’s up next for the Man of Steel, from movies and television to animation and comics. Fans have wanted to see a new solo film for Superman ever since Man of Steel in 2013. While we’ve heard plenty of rumors and interested directors over the years, we don’t really know much – other than that there are plans to make it…eventually. Most recently, it was rumored that Warner Bros. wants to announce the film this year, possibly during San Diego Comic-Con. But first, Superman may show up in another DC movie. Rumor…

FEATURE: Five Villains We’d Love to See in Future AVENGERS Sequels
To date, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has introduced many iconic villains from the comics, such as the Avengers saga. The first film pitted Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against Loki, the second film saw them fight Ultron, and the third and fourth films will see them defend Earth against Thanos. But what happens afterwards? Thanos is THE big bad of the MCU so far, meaning that the next main villain has a lot to live up to. Here, we list five villains that we’d love to see in Avengers 5 or another sequel. Norman Osborn Of course, Norman Osborn is best known for being Spider-Man’s arch-nemesis, the Green Goblin. But outside of Goblin, Norman has been…
