THOR: RAGNAROK Thunders Past $500 Million at Worldwide Box Office
Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok has only been out for one week in North America and a couple weeks overseas, but the sequel is already hitting some big box office benchmarks. Per Variety, the critically acclaimed movie has surpassed the $500 million mark worldwide on Wednesday. It is the 12th consecutive Marvel title to do so, and the 14th title overall. It has already surpassed the original Thor worldwide ($449 million), while it should pass The Dark World‘s $645 million very soon. Ragnarok should easily maintain the #1 spot in North America this weekend, where it is expected to gross at least $50 million. Stay tuned for more updates as we have them.

ARROW Star Stephen Amell Explains Story Behind That Bruce Wayne Namedrop
The CW’s Arrowverse has made vague shoutouts to the world of Batman, but a recent episode of Arrow had the clearest reference yet. During a press conference, Oliver Queen denied being the Green Arrow, saying that the leaked photo was photoshopped. He adds, “They could’ve put Bruce Wayne’s head on that body,” before also mentioning Gotham City. Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam May Debut in SUICIDE SQUAD 2
Dwayne Johnson has been attached to play DC villain/antihero Black Adam for years. Originally set to be the big bad in Shazam, the character will instead star in his own standalone movie. Afterwards, Johnson teased that Black Adam will first appear somewhere else in the DC Universe, while he confirmed that he will (eventually) fight Superman. Ray Fisher Talks Cyborg’s Next Appearance and Hopes for Solo Movie
After a brief cameo in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg makes his formal debut in next week’s Justice League. The character has been hyped up as a big part of the team, as well as the shared universe. It was previously announced that Cyborg will be in the Flashpoint movie, while a standalone film was set for 2020. However, the latter movie has had no movement since its original announcement. JUSTICE LEAGUE Post Credits Scene Confirmed
As comic book movie fans know, the trend of adding post-credits scenes to movies was popularized with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sometimes they’re teasing a future sequel/spin-off, and sometimes they’re just played for laughs. Other studios recently started getting in on the trend, with 20th Century Fox doing it for several X-Men films. However, DC Films’ universe has only done it once with Suicide Squad.
