Review: TITANS Season 1 Episode 4
Catch up on our previous reviews here. Alright, before we get into Titans, a quick lesson in Hunter Safety. In the state of Ohio, it is a first-degree misdemeanor to possess or use a firearm while under the influence of alcohol. Leave the booze for after the hunt. Be a good woodsman: Don’t litter. Especially don’t litter your empty beer cans. Hunt in the properly designated areas; don’t trespass. Get permission from the landowner before hunting on their property or stick to the public hunting grounds. Unless you’re lining up for a shot, keep your safety on. You never know when a green tiger will scare you, causing you to…

Anime Review: HELLSING ULTIMATE
Yes, I know that Hellsing Ultimate is not the first attempt to adapt the Hellsing manga to an anime. But considering I don’t own a copy of Hellsing, I won’t review it. I promise that I will review it next year if I get my hands on a copy or find it on a streaming platform. Hellsing Ultimate is focusing on the Vampire Alucard, who works for the Hellsing Corporation, because of an event that happened between him and an ancestor to Integra Hellsing. It’s up to the Hellsing cooperation and Alucard to stop an army of Nazi vampires. The plot is as stupid as it sounds, but luckily for…

Anime Review: AJIN Season 1
Ajin (or Ajin Demi-Human as it’s also called) is about of group of demi-humans, where their crime is being unable to die like a normal human being. As someone that is usually not a fan of CGI animated series (the Berserk reboot is a perfect example of that), Ajin is one of the exceptions to the rule I supposed. The biggest reasons why I have such a bad taste in my mouth is the style of animation. CGI is something that is perfect for animated movies and live-action films that needs the use for it for whatever reason. But when it comes to TV, especially animation, CGI can be very…

SONG REVIEW: “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)” by Post Malone & Swae Lee
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is less than two months away, waaaaah?! The film’s tie-ins are starting to drop, and at last we have the theme song for Mile Morales’ first theatrical outing. How is this collab between Post Malone and Swae Lee hold up? Let’s find out…. This track takes the form of a love song, which is intriguing for a movie about a bunch of Spider-Men and Women and Hams teaming up. The subject of the song is referred to as sunflower numerous times by Swae and Post: Then you’re left in the dust, unless I stuck by ya You’re the sunflower, I think your love would be too…

Anime Review: BLOOD: THE LAST VAMPIRE
Blood: The Last Vampire is about a mysterious girl who is transported to America to slay monsters. This movie is an interesting one. Here here, there is no dubbed or subbed version in the more traditional scenes. Production I.G had American voice actors on top of the Japanese actors. It’s an anime where dub-only and sub-only have to bit the dust and go with it if they are interested. I know I might sound like a broken record considering my last two reviews, but this fits here as well. The movie is gorgeous. The studio behind it isn’t a stranger with great animation, so I can’t say that it is…

Anime Review: VAMPIRE HUNTER D: BLOODLUST
Like previously, we follow D, who gets the job to hunt down a Nobel Vampire. There isn’t often a sequel that is superior to its predecessor, but those times exist. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is such an occasion. First of all, the animation is drop dead gorgeous. It made me miss the old school ways of animation, instead of digital drawings that we have today. Pretty much any scene in this movie could be worth put inside a frame and hang up on the wall. It got even more impressive when I realized that it was released in early 2000. One part of a time frame where a lot of…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 5×03- “The Death of Vibe”
The Flash (5×03)- “The Death of Vibe” Written by: Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza Directed by: Andi Armaganian Welcome back, let’s go kill Vibe! After our first real glimpse of the Flash Museum in the future it’s time to give a more in depth introduction to Darth Malgus… I mean Cicada. Totally Cicada, I don’t mean that they totally aped his look from a video game character at all because that would be mean and if you’ve learned anything about me these last four plus years it’s that I’m kind to a fault… SHUT UP! So anyway, in the future Cicada has achieved Jack the Ripper like status because he…

Anime Review : Gantz:O
I was a skeptic about this one, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to review it. Half of the sources I looked up claimed it to be horror, the other half did not. But after watching the movie, I could see the horror genre in it, so I decided to add this on this list. Gantz:O is a CGI animated movie based on a manga called Gantz. In Gantz:O, we follow a group of people who’ve been resurrected and are forced to fight different types of monster. This movie confuses me. It feels the need to be animated. But the animation style is like video game cinematics in most triple-A…

Review: TITANS Season 1 Episode 3
Catch up on our previous reviews here. When a new TV show premieres, it can take several episodes for it to find it’s place while it struggles with what tone and stories it seeks to tell. Some make that jump easily, other shows take a bit longer. A few shows never survive this crucible. Cory Anders (Anna Diop) takes the forefront here, saving Rachel Roth (Teagan Croft) from the nuclear family, flambeing the Nuclear Dad (Jeff Clarke) in the process, and winning Rache’s respect by taking down a smalltime punk and his posse. They both seek answers to their own questions and hope that answering one mystery would solve the…

Anime Review: VAMPIRE HUNTER D
Vampire Hunter D follows the lonely hunter D, who lives in a post-apocalyptic world. A world filled with demons, werewolves, mutants and of course vampires. One day, D is forced to accept a job to slay Lee Magnus, a powerful vampire lord, in order to save a young girl that is one of Magnus latest victims. I need to ask the readers something. Has the creator of the Castlevania games talked about his inspiration? I’m asking this because, when I was watching this, particularly at the end of it, felt like I was watching an unofficial adaptation of the game. Only to find out that the first Castlevania got released…
