Ron Cephas Jones joins the cast of VENOM
Venom has added yet another talented actor to an already star studded cast. According to THR, Ron Cephas Jones (This is Us, Luke Cage) will be joining Sony’s anti-hero flick. There’s no word on who Jones will be playing, but we can’t wait to see what he adds to the film. Jones will be joining Tom Hardy, Jenny Slate, Woody Harrelson, Riz Ahmad, and Michelle Williams. Venom be the first in a new line of comic book films from Sony Pictures, which they hope will kick off a Cinematic Universe, with films like Morbius, Kraven The Hunter, Silver Sable, Black Cat, and Silk already in early development. VENOM Might Be Projected To Shatter Box Office Records, But Did Sony Make The Right Call?
As of now, Sony’s Venom is projected to shatter October’s box office records with a $65-$85 million opening weekend (Source: BoxOfficePro). One must remember since Venom still has less than two months to go before it hits theaters, the numbers will most definitely change. Most likely in Sony’s favor. VENOM Director Talks Sequel Plans and Lack of White Spider Symbol; New Trailer Coming Soon
Sony showcased its Venom movie at San Diego Comic-Con last week, and since then, we’ve gotten a bunch of news tidbits surrounding the film. Here, we compile a few of them.
