Supergirl has made some more additions to its cast for season four, and one of them is a key supporting player in Superman lore. According to Deadline, actress Rhona Mitra has joined Supergirl in the recurring role of Mercy Graves, Lex Luthor’s former bodyguard. This take on Mercy is described as “…an ex-CADMUS agent who has always believed in human exceptionalism. But with both Lex and Lillian in prison, Mercy is stepping out of the Luthor shadow and running her own show. Lobo is Coming to KRYPTON Season 2
Krypton held its San Diego Comic-Con panel today to promote its second season, and some interesting new details were announced. Most significantly, the big bad of this season was confirmed, and it’s none other than the Main Man himself. It was announced that Lobo will be popping up in Krypton season two next year. It’s no secret by now that Shazam! takes place in DC Films’ shared universe, which includes Justice League and more movies. While Shazam! is said to be a standalone story, fans have expect some sort of crossover eventually. Dwayne Johnson Offers BLACK ADAM Production Update, Teases DC Universe Cameos
Last we heard on the Black Adam movie, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said that production could start sometime next year. Well, it looks like that’s still the plan, but it may not be quite as soon as we’ve expected. Speaking with Filmstarts, Johnson says that Black Adam could “possibly” start production in late 2019. SyFy Renews KRYPTON for Season 2
Ahead of its season one finale tomorrow night, SyFy has finally decided the fate of its Superman prequel series, Krypton. Today, the network announced (via TV Line) that the show has been renewed for a second season. This season has revolved around Seg-El, Superman’s grandfather, working with others to stop the pending threat of Brainiac, who seeks to collect Kandor City and (eventually) destroy Krypton. Among his allies are Adam Strange and General Zod, who are both from the future. Season two is expected to arrive sometime in 2019. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.

THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN Release Date and Bonus Features Announced
DC’s next animated title is The Death of Superman, the latest adaptation of the Man of Steel’s deadliest battle in comics. Today, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment confirmed that the movie hits digital stores on July 24th, with the Blu-Ray, DVD and 4K releases arriving on August 7th.
