LUCIFER Casts Lauren German and SUPERGIRL Adds Young Kara
Two upcoming DC-TV programs have added to their casts this week. First up is Lucifer. The upcoming Fox/DC cooperation has added experienced television actress Lauren German as their female lead. Meanwhile, as filming continues for the highly-anticipated Supergirl pilot they have announced that Malina Weissman will join on as a younger Kara Zor-El/Danvers. Following up on the unfortunate news that Jada Pinkett Smith will not be returning for season two of Gotham, Deadline reports that Chris Chalk will join the cast as Lucius Fox. LUCIFER Adds Female Lead and SUPERGIRL Begins Production
With their production team and director in place and most of their cast announced, the highly-anticipated pilot for Supergirl is now officially in production. Meanwhile, Deadline reported today that Lucifer has added Lina Esco to the cast as “Maze.” As hinted at by executive producer, Ali Adler last week Supergirl began production on the pilot episode today. LUCIFER Pilot Picked Up by Fox; Len Wiseman to Direct
It has been rumored that Fox has been moving forward with a pilot for Lucifer for a few weeks now. According to The Hollywood Reporter those rumors have come to fruition. Fox has offered a pilot pick up to the Tom Kapinos (Californication) project.
