Justice League has been in theaters for three weeks now, and to say that the film’s box office is disappointing is an understatement. The DC movie only grossed about $94 million in its opening weekend, which is embarrassing for a movie with a $300 million production budget. This week, the film is slowing down…at least domestically. Per Box Office Mojo, Justice League grossed an estimated $16.5 million this weekend, a whopping 60% drop from last week. It is still in second place behind Pixar’s Coco ($26.1 million). Production is currently underway on Titans, a new live action series from DC. The series will stream exclusively on DC’s upcoming digital service. Brenton Thwaites will star as Dick Grayson, who forms a team consisting of Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and more heroes. Now, we have a first look at Grayson in the Robin costume. DC has debuted a first image of Thwaites suited up as the Boy Wonder. The costume was designed by Laura Jean Shannon, who also did the Black Lightning suit. Following the huge success of Wonder Woman, Warner Bros. is quickly moving forward with a sequel. The studio recently brought its release date up to November 1st, 2019, while Patty Jenkins will return to direct and co-write. Also, Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince. DC Films’ Justice League is heading into its third weekend, but ahead of that, the movie has hit a key box office milestone. According to Forbes, Justice League has surpassed the $500 million mark at the worldwide box office. So far, the film has made about $179 million domestically, bringing its worldwide total to $505 million. Due to its colossal $300 million production budget (not counting marketing), Justice League reportedly needs to gross at least $700 million in order to break even.
