Production for Gotham season two is well under way, allowing fans a glimpse into what they can expect from year two of Jim Gordon’s war on crime.  For the most part, the best glimpses come from casting news and we have a doozy with Michael Chiklis joining the cast. At Comic-Con, it was announced that one of the first villains Supergirl would encounter in the upcoming CBS series is Reactron. While we don’t know which actor will be playing this DC Universe foe, we do have some info on the show’s version of the character, as well as when we can expect to see him. According to TV Line, Reactron will make his debut in episode three of Supergirl, where he will be bringing a “whole world of hurt.” Described as a “nuclear-powered, exoskeletal chest-plated madman,” the villain has held a grudge against Superman for a long time. It has been confirmed that the first few episodes of The Flash and Arrow this season will set up midseason spin-off DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Now, executive producer Marc Guggenheim gives E! Online some elaboration on how this set up will be done. As expected, Sara Lance will undergo her transformation into White Canary early on in Arrow‘s fourth season. Also, episode eight, which will serve as the annual crossover event with The Flash, will be particularly instrumental in paving the way for Legends of Tomorrow. As expected, Barry Allen is getting a tweaked costume when The Flash returns for its second season. The CW has released a new promo image featuring the updated suit, and it features an addition comic book fans will like. The emblem now has a white background, rather than the initial red. That addition was first seen on the Future Flash’s suit during The Flash season one finale. The costume was also recently seen on display at San Diego Comic-Con. For the past couple years, director Guillermo del Toro had been working on a Justice League Dark movie for Warner Bros., with the working title of Dark Universe. A script was turned in a few months back, but more recently, del Toro dropped out of the DC Comics adaptation. Nevertheless, the studio is still interested in moving forward with the movie, with plans to fully integrate it into the DC Extended Universe. But why exactly did del Toro exit this project? Yesterday, we reported that the producers of Supergirl were expanding her universe to include other powered heroes.  Today we have a possible candidate.  TVLine is reporting today that Lucy Lane will be introduced in episode three. Lucy Lane is the younger sister of world-famous reporter, Lois Lane.  Lucy was introduced in Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen issue thirty-six in 1959.  At the time, she was an airline stewardess with an on-again/off-again romance with Jimmy.  In 1986, she was reintroduced in John Bryne’s Man of Steel issue five as an air traffic controller.  After a romance with Jimmy Olsen before eventually dating and marrying another Daily Planet employee named Ron Troupe. The Hollywood Reporter recently spoke with the cast and crew of Arrow, regarding what to expect from the show’s fourth season. First up, executive producer Marc Guggenheim would not confirm or deny if the Birds of Prey would be forming. The show has already introduced members such as Black Canary, Huntress and Katana, making this a fair possibility. However, Guggenheim did confirm that there is interest in bringing the Huntress back, citing a “great” story for the character. “We just have to find the right time for it, and it would be a shame if we couldn’t get her back this year.” Talk then turned to Coast City’s presence on…

With Supergirl still months away from premiere and filming for season one beginning next week the team behind the scenes are well underway in the heroic task of building her universe.  The reporters at Den of Geek were able to sit down with Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter during San Diego Comic Con and discuss their plans for Supergirl. As it stands right now, they will not be able to fold her into the Flash/Arrow universe anytime soon but Kreisberg can follow the model of those shows as Kreisberg explained, “Just like on those shows, we bring in other DC characters and other DC heroes. Last week, Warner Bros. premiered the epic three-and-a-half minute trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice at San Diego Comic-Con, followed by an online release. However, a condensed version of this trailer is also being screened in theaters this weekend with Marvel’s Ant-Man. And now, IMAX has released the recut trailer online. Essentially, it is the exact same thing as the Comic-Con trailer, but without a few scenes and lines of dialogue. Also, the shot where Wonder Woman is slammed against a wall is extended by a second.
