The CW Announces Dates for 2018’s Arrowverse Crossover
This year’s Arrowverse crossover will be a bit smaller than usual. The event will introduce Ruby Rose’s Batwoman into the universe, with plans to spin her off into her own series. The three core shows – Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl – will be involved, while Legends of Tomorrow won’t take any part. Now, we know when the crossover will air. The CW has announced that the Batwoman crossover will begin on Sunday, December 9th at 8 PM EST with a new episode of The Flash. Today we’ve got some news on Titans casting, Gotham using yet another Batman villain, and Arrow doing even more crazy stunts. There’s a lot to unpack so let’s get into it. According to our friends at Super Bro Movies, Elliot Knight (Life Sentence) has been cast as Don Hall on Titans. Knight will appear in flashbacks as the original Dove. Don Hall and Hank Hall (Alan Ritchson) are brothers and the original Hawk and Dove. It’ll be interesting to see how they use the flashbacks to flesh out Ritchson’s character. First Look at THE FLASH’s New Suit for Season 5
The Flash has tweaked Barry’s suit throughout its run, most significantly in season four. The season five trailer teased a new costume, along with the arrival of the Flash ring. Now, we have a first look at the suit. The CW has released a new poster for The Flash, showing off Barry’s latest outfit. It looks very different from past suits, most notably with the lack of a chinstrap. It also looks to be ditching the all-leather suit, as well as the zipper in front. Right now, The CW’s biggest television shows are the ones based on comics. The Arrowverse consists of four live action shows – Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow – with a fifth show, Batwoman, expected to premiere next year. The CW Casts Ruby Rose As Batwoman
The CW has found it’s Batwoman! Deadline broke the news that Ruby Rose will be portray Kate Kane, otherwise known as Batwoman, for CW’s Arrowverse! This will mark the first ever live-action superhero TV series with an openly LGBT superhero in the lead. Rose will first portray the character in the network’s annual superhero crossover which is said to take place in Gotham City. The Batwoman series will be the first time we visit Gotham City on The CW. With Batwoman having a strong connection to Batman, many have wondered if the Caped Crusader would finally appear on television. Well, we finally know the answer to that question. BATWOMAN to Start Filming in Spring 2019
With Batwoman appearing in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, it would only make sense for them to spin her off into her own series. We already knew that a spin-off was in the works, but now we have a filming date. Our friends at GWW recently shared some new information. Batwoman is looking for a spring 2019 start date. We don’t know if it will be shot in Vancouver, where all of the Arrowverse shows are filmed, or possibly in Toronto, where Titans and Suicide Squad filmed. SUPERGIRL Adds Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves for Season 4
Supergirl has made some more additions to its cast for season four, and one of them is a key supporting player in Superman lore. According to Deadline, actress Rhona Mitra has joined Supergirl in the recurring role of Mercy Graves, Lex Luthor’s former bodyguard. This take on Mercy is described as “…an ex-CADMUS agent who has always believed in human exceptionalism. But with both Lex and Lillian in prison, Mercy is stepping out of the Luthor shadow and running her own show. In today’s TV news bits, we’re talking about three shows on The CW! First up: Black Lightning! Black Lightning showrunners and producers Salim and Mara Brock Akil confirmed at San Diego Comic Con that they are trying to build a “Lightningverse” as like the “Arrowverse”. It has been confirmed before that Black Lightning is not a part of the Arrowverse, but with the number of Earths in the Arrowverse, it can be brought in should producers choose to do so.
