Opinion: Top 5 Shonen Jump Manga
5. Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure What’s not to love when it comes to the strange nature of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure? It’s an insane thrill ride that ain’t afraid to kill off characters if they want. The only reason that I put this so on the list is that of its weird art style that is a massive hit or miss for me. 4. Blue Exorcist As someone that is a big fan of Supernatural, it’s probably not that surprising that I enjoy this franchise as much as I do. Even if I’m not a person of faith, religions and its history have always fascinated me. There is a reason that I watch the Story of…

Pilot Review: FAIRY TAIL: 100 YEAR QUEST
Before the review starts, I want to add this. I’m going to review the previous installation. It’s coming later due to my schedule. But that doesn’t mean that I want to skip the chance of another pilot review. This time for the “real” sequel to Hiro Mashimas most popular work called Fairy Tail, with the sequel called Fairytail 100 Years Quest. The story begins a time after the big war that occurred at the end of the predecessor. Natsu and his group have decided to take a shot at the 100 years quest. A quest that no magician been able to finish. It was quite the treat to return to…

Review: EDENS ZERO Chapter 4
In Chapter four, we follow our protagonists searching for a professor called Professor Wize. But something is not like it first seems to be. This chapter is probably the best yet. It’s as simplistic as the previous one but yet had you leaving wanting for more like a good episode (or in this cause a chapter). You even get some small bit of knowledge of what is likely going to be the “Dragon Balls” of this franchise, which I certainly liked. If we get more chapters like this, this has strong chances to be something really good. I certainly hope that Hiro Mashima proofs me right that he is a…

Review: EDENS ZERO Chapter 3
I’m sorry about this late review. But life and the hottest summer in 260 years got the hold of me. With that said, let’s start it all. In this chapter, we get to know the “guild” that Rebeca is a member off and have Shiki join. If there is any chapter that makes this manga feel like Fairy Tail painted in science fiction color. The only difference is some slight change in the guilds behavior. However, there is a big difference between Edens Zero and Fairytail. Unlike Fairytail, Edens Zero has mystery building up since the first chapter, which has me somewhat intrigued. While the chapter isn’t bad, it’s nothing in…

Manga Review: BURN THE WITCH
Burn the Witch is the latest creation from the creator of Bleach, Tite Kubo. Here in this one shot, we follow Noel Niihashi, one of the many people that are fighting to protect dragons in the street of London. The first thing that makes Burn the Witch rather different to Bleach is the tone. Yes, the manga has some funny moments, but it’s closer to Attack on Titan than Dragon Ball in tone. Burn the Witch, on the other hand, is the reverse. It was a nice change of pace, considering what Kubo previously made. If you are a fan of Kubo’s earlier work, you will recognize it right away. Unlike…

ONE PIECE Live Action TV Show Gets a Writer
In 2017, we got the announcement that One Piece was getting a live-action treatment from the creators of Prison Break. Since then, it has been silent like a crowd during an Adam Sandler comedy show. Today, we have got some information. According to one individual from the editor’s office, a writer has been hired and more info will be announced later this year. As a fan of this source material, I will give this a chance (and probably review it once it is out) but I can’t say that I’m hyped about it. How Loney Tunes meets Pirates of the Caribbean on crack is possible with live action is beyond me. The…

ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL Gets a Second Trailer
Alita: Battle Angel is one of these properties that has been in “development” for years (maybe even a decade) when it comes to getting a live action treatment. But like we know since a while back, the movie is happening with James Cameron producing and Robert Rodriguez directing. Today, 20th Century Fox released a new trailer, giving us some new info about it. As someone that has read the manga, this looks quite promising if you ask me. But then again, many bad movies have had great trailers. Alita: Battle Angel is set to release on the 21st of December. What did you think of the trailer? Comment below and…

Opinion: Why ATTACK ON TITAN Needs Another Live Action Adaptation
After my reviews (or should I call them rants) of the live-action adaptations, you probably did not expect this post (unless you read the schedule obviously). I’ve always believed that Attack on Titan is a franchise with cinematic potential. A failed attempt, no matter if it is from the land where the source material comes from or an attempt from the west. No matter what your thoughts are about Netflix’s adaptation of Death Note, there is a successful live-action adaptation from Japan. On the western side, we have the live-action adaptation of the light novel with the name of All You Need is Kill, or Edge of Tomorrow as the…

ATTACK ON TITAN 2 Video Game Review
In Attack on Titans 2, you play through season one and two of the anime. However, instead of playing as any of the pre-existing characters you play as a self-created Avatar. Using an Avatar in a game that wants to re-tell an already told story is always a red flag for me, and this game was no exception. Granted, I get the appeal of being able to be “you”, interacting with your favorite character no matter the franchise. The outcome can only end up in two ways. A) The game is treating your Avatar as a side character, interacting with the other characters. While you get praise and accomplish things,…
