JUSTICE LEAGUE: Henry Cavill Says Snyder-Cut Wouldn’t Make a Difference
Henry Cavill spoke on the “Snyder-Cut” opportunity during his press tour for Mission: Impossible – Fallout. He doesn’t know if one actually exists or not, but he does think if one did exist, it wouldn’t make a difference. He says it might be entertaining, but it wouldn’t change what happened in Justice League, and ultimately it wouldn’t make money for the studio, so while it would be interesting to see the differences, the future is where it’s at. IRON FIST Season 2 Trailer and Synopsis Drop at San Diego Comic-Con; Alice Eve’s Character Revealed
During its San Diego Comic-Con panel tonight, Marvel dropped the first teaser for its next Netflix collaboration, Iron Fist season two. A lot of new footage was shown, but this was all that was released online. The trailer features Danny Rand beating down street criminals, and it already looks like a big improvement on the first season. Check it out below. Zazie Beetz in Talks to Join JOKER Movie
It’s full steam ahead on Warner Bros.’ Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix. The film just got a release date this week, and now, the studio is looking to fill out the supporting cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Zazie Beetz is in talks to join Joker. If a deal closes, she will play a single mother who catches the attention of the future Joker. STARGIRL Series Coming to DC Universe
We have news of a fourth live action show coming to the DC Universe streaming service! Stargirl will be the show, with Sarah Scheer, Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns to produce. Berlanti and Johns will write the scripts up for the show, with it having 13 episodes in total. The show will air at some point in 2019, and will focus on high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires a group of young heroes to stop villains from the past. Warner Bros. Denies Plans to Release Zack Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE Cut, Or Any Other Alternate Versions
Ever since Justice League hit theaters last year, fans have campaigned tirelessly for Warner Bros. to release Zack Snyder’s original cut of the movie. We don’t need to go into detail here on how WB was unsatisfied with Snyder’s cut, how Joss Whedon changed things, and how the film lost money for the studio. STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS is Returning
Are you ready for it? Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be returning to close out its arc! After unceremoniously being canceled in 2013, Clone Wars put a sixth unaired, “unfinished” season on Netflix. Dave Filoni revealed today in an SDCC panel sneakily titled as a way to honor the show’s tenth anniversary, that the show would be returning on Disney Direct, Disney’s upcoming streaming service. According to the show’s writer(Brett Freidman) back in 2014, scripts had been finished for the show through an eighth season. At this time, it is unknown if those scripts will in fact be used, and for how many seasons the show will air.…

Joaquin Phoenix’s JOKER Gets a 2019 Release Date
Things are moving very quickly on Warner Bros.’ Joker origin movie, starring Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Todd Phillips. Now, we have confirmation on both a title and release date. Per THR, the film – simply titled Joker – is set to hit theaters on October 4th, 2019. The movie begins production in September, so this will be a fast turnaround for a comic book film. Then again, the budget is only $55 million, meaning that it can use less post-production time than movies with 3-4 times that budget. Will Shazam Meet the Justice League in Future DC Films?
It’s no secret by now that Shazam! takes place in DC Films’ shared universe, which includes Justice League and more movies. While Shazam! is said to be a standalone story, fans have expect some sort of crossover eventually. Henry Cavill’s Superman has been rumored to cameo, while a slew of other DC references are being made. But could Shazam join the Justice League one day?
