The CW Renews All Five DC Shows and RIVERDALE for Next Season
The CW has officially announced that ten of its shows have been picked up for new seasons. These include six comic book adaptations. Arrow, the show that launched the network’s Arrowverse has been renewed for a seventh season. Midseason hit Black Lightning, based on the DC comic, will be back for a second season. Fellow DC adaptations Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow will return for fourth seasons. It was previously announced that Matt Ryan’s John Constantine will be a series regular on the latter show next season. The Flash has been renewed for a fifth season. X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX Pushed Back to 2019, NEW MUTANTS Delayed Again
20th Century Fox has updated its release schedule, and in the shakeup, two X-Men films have been pushed back. X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which was originally slated for a November 2nd release this year, will now hit theaters on February 14th, 2019. No reason was given for the delay. However, director Simon Kinberg previously said that he wanted plenty of post-production time to fully realize the CGI, so that may have influenced the move. BLACK PANTHER is King of the Box Office for Fifth Weekend in a Row
Black Panther has been out for over a month now, but the Marvel Studios blockbuster is still making an insane amount of money. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Black Panther retained the top spot yet again with an estimated $27 million. This beats competition from newcomers Tomb Raider ($23.5 million) and I Can Only Imagine ($17.1 million). Black Panther is the first comic book movie to stay at #1 for five weekends in a row, and it’s the first movie to ever do it since Avatar. New DEADPOOL 2 Trailer Puts the Spotlight on Cable

Director Nicole Kassell Tapped for WATCHMEN Pilot
While news for Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen series has been few and far between, more is beginning to drip as the show speeds into production. Deadline reports that director Nicole Kassell has been tapped to helm the Pilot episode. Kassell has an impressive resume, having directed episodes of Lindelof’s The Leftovers, along with episodes of Better Call Saul, The Americans, and the upcoming Castle Rock series at Hulu. Who is Dove Cameron Playing on AGENTS OF SHIELD?
The casting keeps comin’ and they don’t stop comin’! Entertainment Weekly has the scoop on a new character coming to Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. Actress Dove Cameron, star of Disney’s Descendants and the voice of Spider-Gwen in Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors, has been cast in the role of Ruby, described as “a young woman of cunning intelligence who has a mysterious obsession with Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet).” Cameron’s character is also the daughter of General Hale, played by Catherine Dent.
