Ben Affleck Denies Plans to Leave Batman Role; “I’d Love to Do it for As Long as They’ll Have Me”
Warner Bros. brought down the house at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday, where the studio teased future DC films and offered an extended look at Justice League. But the day before that, a rumor claimed that Ben Affleck would stop playing Batman soon, and WB was exploring options to explain it in a movie. THE FLASH and ARROW Announce Major Casting News at San Diego Comic-Con 2017
Last night, DC Entertainment held its San Diego Comic-Con 2017 panels for its two flagship shows, The Flash and Arrow. During the panels, some casting news for the new seasons was announced. And boy, did they drop some doozies. First up, on The Flash, action movie star Danny Trejo has been cast as Breacher, a feared bounty hunter from Earth-19 and the father of Gypsy. His mission is to prevent any inter-dimension traveler from threatening any lives on his Earth, especially his daughter’s. CAPTAIN MARVEL To Be Set In The 90's, Skrulls Confirmed!
During Marvel’s Comic-Con panel, they made a huge announcement! We now know more details on Marvel’s female lead film, Captain Marvel. We learned that the film will take place in the early 90’s, and will be the first Marvel film set in the past since Captain America: The First Avenger. Which is kind of fitting, wouldn’t you say? The second bit of news was that Samuel Jackson will return as Nick Fury. This wasn’t necessarily new, but with the film taking place in the 90’s, Fury will not be sporting his iconic eyepatch. Epic New Trailer for THOR: RAGNAROK Hits
At San Diego Comic-Con tonight, Marvel Studios dropped a second trailer for its next movie, Thor: Ragnarok. The new trailer is full of awesome new footage, showing off the amazing visuals and much more. Check out the trailer below, and stay tuned for more as we have it. ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Adds Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Logo & Art Revealed
Marvel surprised a lot of us tonight at Comic-Con by announcing a couple of cast additions for next year’s Ant-Man and the Wasp as well as revealing out first look at art for the film, which includes the logo. First up, Michelle Pfeiffer has been cast as Janet Van Dyne, wife of original Ant-Man, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and mother to Hope (Evangeline Lilly). In the comics, Janet was the original Wasp, as well as a founding member/leader of the Avengers at one point. Joining Pfeiffer is Laurence Fishburne. Fishburne will be playing Bill Foster, a scientist that worked alongside Hank Pym before taking on the superhero life as Black Goliath later…

Captain Cold and Damien Darhk Set to Return for LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season 3
At tonight’s San Diego Comic-Con panel, it was announced that some fan-favorite Arrowverse characters will be making their returns to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow next season. First off, Neal McDonough’s Damien Darhk has been upgraded to series regular for Legends season three. Darhk was the main villain of Arrow‘s fourth season, where he killed Laurel Lance/Black Canary. He later returned as a member of the Legion of Doom on Legends, putting him directly up against Laurel’s sister, Sara. Next, Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart/Captain Cold will return as a recurring character. Originally a villain on The Flash, Snart became a hero on Legends and made the ultimate sacrifice. GOTHAM Season 4 Sizzle Reel Unveiled, Crystal Reed Cast as Sofia Falcone
Everybody’s favorite TV show Gotham is returning to Fox for a fourth season this fall. Today at Comic Con, a sizzle reel for the new season was shown off. You can view that down below. It was also revealed that Teen Wolf alum Crystal Reed will be playing Don Falcone’s daughter, Sofia Falcone this season. I’ve lost track of how many characters this show has gone through at this point, but hey, at least Crystal’s nice to look at? Season 4 premieres on Thursday, September 28.

SUPERGIRL Casts Four New Characters for Season 3
The CW just held its San Diego Comic-Con panel for Supergirl, which begun production on its third season a few weeks ago. During the panel (via TV Line), it was announced that four new characters will be joining the show next season. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alum Adrian Pasdar has been cast as DC villain Morgan Edge, who, in the comics, is the leader of the Intergang. But on Supergirl, Edge is a ruthless real-estate developer with big plans for National City. New KRYPTON Details Revealed; Brainiac, Doomsday, and More DC Characters to Appear
The San Diego Comic-Con panel for SyFy’s new Superman prequel series, Krypton just wrapped up. During the panel, we learned a lot more about what to expect from the show, as well as the arrival of several fan-favorite DC characters. Originally, we thought Krypton would just be an exploration of Kal-El’s lineage, set centuries before the planet’s destruction. Turns out it’s much more than that.
