Director Boaz Yakin Looks Back at Canned BATMAN BEYOND Live Action Movie
Following the humiliating failure of Batman & Robin in 1997, Warner Bros. was unsure of how to continue the franchise. Originally, a direct sequel was in development, but the studio dropped it in favor of a complete reboot. One of the movies being considered was Batman Beyond, a live action adaptation of the hit animated series. For those who do not know, Batman Beyond is set in a future where Bruce Wayne, now an old man, retiring as the Batman. A teenager named Terry McGinnis is trained as his replacement. The show was a fan-favorite, and it has since been adopted into the DC Comics continuity. Boaz Yakin was attached…

Machinima has released the third episode of Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles, marking the conclusion of the animated miniseries. (Don’t worry, a second season is already underway.) THE FLASH Adding Another to Season Two Cast
We’re likely still a ways from Season 2 of The Flash filming but as the writers have SAID, season two production is underway. This means casting news. Yesterday it was reported that Barry is getting a new love interest, a “spunky fun and funny” woman who works with Barry in the CCPD that we’re still pretending isn’t Patty Spivot named “Wendy.” Today it’s a “classically-handsome, square-jawed hero in his 30s to early 40s” named “John Clark.” Like “Wendy,” “John Clark” is likely a fake name to keep the character secret but TV-Line Speculates that since John Clark is a letterer for DC Comics that that could be a hint. So,…

Celebrities Play BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT
Batman: Arkham Knight is just two weeks away. While we’re all eager to play the game for ourselves, Rocksteady has allowed a few notable celebrities exclusive access to the final installment of the franchise. A long list of actors and musicians had a chance to put on the cape and cowl for the first time, including; Neil Patrick Harris, Joel Manganiello, and (Batman himself) Kevin Conroy. If the game is as fun as they made it appear, I think this will be ultimate Batman experience, which was Rocksteady’s goal from day one. WB Games and Rocksteady Studios will have a presentation at E3 2015, so expect even more content in the coming days. Batman: Arkham Knight releases June 23rd for PS4, X-Box One, and PC.

And following the events of the finale, will Barry and Iris move forward with their relationship? A new report suggests that they will not right away. According to TV Line, The CW is casting a “major” recurring character for season two of The Flash. This character is called Wendy, a cop in the Central City PD described as “spunky, fun…

Check Out Episode Two of JUSTICE LEAGUE: GODS AND MONSTERS CHRONICLES
Machinima has released the second episode of Bruce Timm’s three-part miniseries, Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles, a companion piece to next month’s Gods and Monsters movie. In this installment, titled “Bomb,” Superman – who, in this universe, is the son of General Zod – confronts a weapon that malfunctions and threatens to destroy the entire city. This weapon is no other than this world’s version of Brainiac. It is a very interesting episode, and it greatly reminded me of Man of Steel. Check out the episode below, and stay tuned for the final installment later this week.
