Claire Holt Testing For SUPERGIRL Role On CBS Series
A few weeks ago, CBS sent out a casting call for characters in Supergirl, the latest DC Comics adaptation for television. And now, we finally have our first candidate for the role of Superman’s iconic cousin. According to The Wrap, The Vampire Diaries and The Originals‘ Claire Holt is one of the actresses in contention for the titular superheroine, aka Kara Zor-El. The other actresses are not named in the report, and it is unknown whether or not Holt is the frontrunner at this stage. SUICIDE SQUAD Recruits FURY Cinematographer And EDGE OF TOMORROW Costume Designer
While we wait for an official announcement on the cast of Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad, the DC adaptation has added a couple of names to its crew. The movie’s IMDb page has been updated, and it reveals who will serve as director of photography and costume designer. Roman Vasyanov will serve as cinematographer on Suicide Squad, marking his third collaboration with writer-director David Ayer following End of Watch and Fury. Morena Baccarin Voicing Gideon In THE FLASH; Sin Returning To ARROW This Season
We have a couple of updates concerning two characters featured on The Flash and Arrow. First up, TV Line has confirmed that actress Morena Baccarin is voicing Gideon in the former series. The AI assistant of Harrison Wells made her debut in this week’s episode. Baccarin is no stranger to the DC Universe; she has voiced characters such as Black Canary, Talia al Ghul and Cheetah. She is also playing Dr. Leslie Thompkins in Gotham, beginning early next year. Don’t be surprised if we see plenty more of Gideon throughout the rest of The Flash this season. “Bizarro World” And “Heroines & Villainesses” DLC Packs For LEGO BATMAN 3: BEYOND GOTHAM Unveiled
When LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham was released earlier this month, three DLC packs were included. One was a Batman 75-centric pack, while the other two were based on Man of Steel and The Dark Knight Trilogy. A fourth one, which focuses on Arrow, will be released soon. Entertainment Weekly spent some time with Rick Cosnett and Grant Gustin from The Flash recently. They discussed the first season’s biggest mystery; Who is the Reverse Flash? While most of DC Entertainment’s television shows are separate from each other – due to different networks, among other things – fans have speculated that CBS’ upcoming Supergirl series may be integrated into the world of Arrow and The Flash. All three shows are executive produced by Greg Berlanti, and CBS co-owns The CW, the network which airs Arrow and The Flash. So, a potential crossover isn’t logistically impossible.
